Fennekin <3

So many people are going to nickname it FireFox. I bet you that.

I'm not a big fire starter fan (only ones I like are torchic and a bit of charmander) but <3 Fennekin

Also, if you look at the eyes, there's X's in them (taken from that album above)

D'awww

But for realzies, I don't judge them until I see their progressive forms. I liked how Chikorita looked but I hated Meganium, and I liked Empoleon but I didn't like Piplup.

Perhaps in the overall appearance as a deer, but the multi-antler thing has Ghibli written all over it.

lol I know I will, but I hope it has more than just a fire as its type upon evolving. Otherwise I feel I'm just getting a Vulpix/Ninetails clone.

*edit* Also wondering what the third legendary (Z) pokemon will look like.

I'm actually more excited for Froakie and most likely Chespin will be the ugliest of the 3 but have the best stats to move set ratio lol.

X and Y are sort of odd names, hoping there's some meaning behind them at least besides the Pokemon's shapes.
Worldwide release was a huge shock. It's about time, but I never expected it to happen.
Everyone gets to learn and experience this new gen at the same time, no spoiled storyline, no one will know where to find Pokemon X, what their level up moves are. I really can't wait until October.

Hoping the fox isn't Fire/Fighting at second/third evolution. Anything else with a SR resistance would be nice though.
Would like to see unique secondary types for the Water and Grass starters as well.
Looking like a Meloetta event is going to have show up in the next 2-4 months at least, still the last unreleased and she's(it's) not going to get a movie.

Agreed. The last 3 starters all had this and it's not very original anymore.

Froakie looks to be Water/Ice from it's colors/design. I'm willing to wager Chespin will be Grass/Rock or Ground. And Fennekin being Fire/Ground or Steel. Just speculation of course but we'll see.

The whole worldwide release really upsets me since I always chose which game/starter by looking online what game has what, what evolves into what, what pokemon have better stats for things. Well at least we are all on a level playing field now.

from watching the video and the moves it uses the 2nd move seems to be a dark, ghost or psycic type growl move, <unless this is how growl will look then idk lol>

also im getting X and going fire starter as allways.

I'm thinking it's in reference to the game entering full 3D, since the third game will probably be Z. (XYZ axis)

Historically I've pretty much always chosen the grass starter...might have to change that up this time, though.

Game is looking good, I'm excited.

Not sure how I didn't think about the axis thing, thinking you're right on the origin of the names.
I've alternated between water and fire since the start, but for the first time I really want Water and Grass, and have no interest in the fox thing at all. Hope breeding and GTS are available early on, can't say I want to buy a second 3DS.

I've always used water/grass as my starters. I am extremely fond of water pokemon as a whole. My first choice was usually always water but along the line it would change based on desgins. I do tend to play every game at least 3 times choosing all 3 starters and going through the game with them.

GEN 1: Squirtle
GEN 2: Tododile
GEN 3: Mudkip
GEN 4: Turtwig(When I finally moved over to grass)
GEN 5: Tepig(This came to a shock to me since both the water/grass of this generation were both hideous in design in my opinion or had the notorious "cannot be unseen" male reproductive organ so cleverly subliminally "hidden" on its chest.)
GEN 6: We'll have to see. Since my brother is really liking Froakie I'll most likely go with Chespin :)

Who...? >.>

GEN 1: Charmander
GEN 2: Totodile
GEN 3: Treeko
GEN 4: Turtwig
GEN 5: Oshawott

So I guess I should go with the fire-type to keep the pattern...? Unless it evolves into another *** fire/fighting. I mean, Blaziken with his dream world ability and Infernape with his base stats were good. But seriously, think of something else.

I like this, even though i'm probably far too old for Pokemon by now, this game is getting me excited.

As i recall, dont we put our starter pokemon in the box once we get the pokemon that we want anyhow?

That said, i shall greatly enjoy raising my 6x Krabby army in full out 3D!
