Music started playing again and after three roselias KO'd, a shiny patch shakes. I'm freaking out and going to it... When suddenly

Broke my chain AND the shiny patch was gone. I just got ultra trolled...

The problem I keep running into is anything that I'd actually like to have the shiny version of, there isn't a patch of grass big enough to actually use it.

What'd you like a shiny of?

anyone have a male nidoran nidorino or nidokin with the dream world poke ability and wants to trade it ?

i suck at the poke radar, i just cant seem to make out the difference in the shaking grass. that being said ive only dedicated about 10-15 min to learning it lol

Listing off my current wishlist, regardless of ability to obtain via Radar.

Ralts - Route 4, Hedge Maze with no major patches
Mareep - Route 12, Horde Only. Tried brute-forcing it with Sweet Scent for about 5 hours one afternoon.
Magnemite - Ditto Breed only (or find someone with Magneton Friend Safari)
Azurill / Marill - Route 3, might be doable.
Eevee(s) - Route 8, giant slabs in the way, but Radar patches are big enough
Honedge - Might breed for these if Eevee breeding is successful. Obnoxiously tall grass in Route 6 is incompatible with Radar

Your going to hate yourself even further. Running into the 3 legendaries during chaining doesn't break the chain you just need to run 50 steps while still in the grass and not run into any previous shaky grass.

Then reuse the radar and boom back to your previous chain.

The music stopped and when I restarted the chain there was no shiny grass. Moltres totally ***-blocked me from getting shiny roserade.

Now I'm in the process of hunting down Moltres til it retreats to the island. There, I shall capture it and throw it onto wonder trade to express my anger. >:I

Okay, I think I've decided on a team for battling (granted I still can't do the tournament lol :<)

Charizard X or Y
Charizard X will be Adamant, Charizard Y will be Modest. Will swap them around as necessary.
Milotic
Bulky water type with Marvel Scale. Give her Scald/Ice Beam/Rest/Sleep Talk along with the proper EV training for taking hits, and we're golden. I've destroied 3-4 pokemon on teams with just this set up. >:3 (Obviously I have to wait for PokeBank.)
Cloister
Can learn Rapid Spin/Shell Smash/Icicle Spear and Multilink ability.
Skarmory
Has to be bred in, but can learn Stealth Rocks and Spikes.
Noivern
Infiltrator now bypasses Substitute... Also, it's baller looking. >_>
It'd work very well on a Drizzle/Rain Dance team due to Twister getting the accuracy boost. And can learn U-turn to go in as a scout.

Those 5 are for certain. The rest are being considered til I have more information...

I HONESTLY thought this was the dumbest looking Pokemon in the generation... But then I took a look at it's pokemon ability. Sweet Veil prevents itself and the entire team from being slept. Considering how popular Spore is, this could be quite nice. However, considering that my Milotic relies on Rest to Marvel Scale tank, this may not be the best choice... Unless Sweet Veil doesn't prevent self-inflicted sleep moves. In which case, this would be my first choice of the consideration pokemon. Also, would love to see if Spore could be breeded into it's attack pool, seeing as it can learn quite a few grass type attacks...

Obvious fairy type choice is obvious. :I
Aggron
Considering my team is a -bit- damage heavy with only one spinner, Mega Aggron has the highest defense (230 with shuckle) and Filter to lower the damage from super effective moves. Can learn Stealth Rocks. However, if I'm mega evolving him, I would need to replace Charizard with someone else. Either a Physical or Special attacker depending on the Mega Stone I had equipped on him.
Dedenne
Volt Switch... Nuzzle... Parabolic Charge... And, most importantly...

LOOK AT IT!

Granted, looking at my team, all of it is thunder weak (except for Charizard X) lol... Might want to get a ground type...

Sweet Veil only applies to partners in double/triple battles. it also doesn't get spore. sylveon isn't that good, if you want a fairy use togekiss. dedenne just sucks stat wise.

I am terrible at coming up with a team. I see all these videos of people battling and they have pokemon I just... don't like.

I finally managed to get my 5/6 Adamant Riolu last night, my first breeded 5/6 ever, and then I realize that pretty much nobody uses that.

My other favorites I hardly if ever see too... Lilligant, Glaceon, Wobbuffet...

When I look at the other popular pokemon people are using... I just don't like them. Ferrowhatever, Smeargle, Skarmory, Charizard, etc.

I dunno, maybe I am just not cut out for post-game pokemon :(
