Sucks :< Tsuunami sirens went off in Hawaii like 5 mins ago, and my roommate has been trying to skype his g/f for like an hour now who lives in Japan...hella annoying hearing that stupid beeping going off constantly, but hope everything is ok :<

I just received a call from my Mom (who's living in Zama Japan atm) she said she and her co-workers are fine but the entire country is in a state of emergency. my thoughts are with them, and hopefully that was the worst of it.

Yah they revised the rating to 8.9...that's so incredible. I was watching the footage of the refinery fire in Ichihara...just horrible. :/

I don't want to come off like "Oh it's no big deal" cause an 8.8 is serious goddamn business, but all things considered, it seems so far they've fared pretty well. I haven't seen any reports of fatalities yet, I hope it stays that way when I wake up.

Judging by the pictures and video I have seen already today I would be surprised if fatalaties are not in very large numbers. Whole houses have been washed away by the Tsunami.

yea, aftershocks can happen for a few days up to months after a major quake... those poor people.. Im watching the news right now, just looks horrid over there
