I like to think that, more or less, they've figured out the superhero formula and are trying to cash in on it. There are some disasters, (hulk, xmen3, superman) but for the most part the ones they come out with are at least decent, sometimes better than the originals.

All the superhero movies that I've watched lately (Thor, Green Lantern, X-men First Class) have all been pretty good. Fantastic 4, Superman, Spiderman 3 were all pretty eeeeh. I don't even think the directing or the acting made it a bad movie by itself, the writing was just so bad that I raged so hard throughout the entire movie.
