He got the black knight sword and great sword in his first playthrough, leveled the sword up to +2

all on his own mind you :x

Is this game still like 60 bucks for PS3? is the Ps3 version any good?
You guys keep talking about it but I didn't play the other game. Would I be lost if I picked up this one (is the latest one Demon or Dark Souls?)

It's like 15-20 dollars >.> it's worth like 60 to me though, but I'm not complaining <_<

Demon's Souls was a PS3 exclusive, and to gain a wider audience they had to remake the game into Dark Souls for all platforms (PC being most recent of course).

The stories aren't related really, and are different. You will lose nothing playing Dark Souls first or vise versa.

Dark Souls has deeper lore, new commands/moves (like a falling plunging attack), worse PvP connection (its P2P instead of server based), the enhancement system is less complex (still very powerful), Dark Souls is open world while Demon's Souls had zones, and more.

I'd say Dark Souls is the better game overall.

and his character level?
Black knight's greatsword probably has 32+ str requirements or something crazy? hmmm

Yea couldn't believe I managed to get both, friend was saying they're rare drops. ^^
I did grind out souls to be able to use the sword but that wasn't until after I did the gargoyles and it put me in the high 20's. Since then I've gotten to like 35 after Capra.
Half the problem is that I insit on checking every nook and crany every time I pass through an area after leaving the bonfire and I end up with a ton of souls.

I don't think that's a problem, exploring is a good thing. They made the game like that, and you can only benefit by doing so.

Eh, I just think sometimes I don't need to kill every enemy yet I insist on doing so.
But I does help, get better at parry timing and memorizing every enemies move set.

I played Demon Souls and I played Dark Souls up til the Gargoyels once when it launched.

I make the mistake of knee jerk attacking everything.
I think I pissed off a vendor in the sewers because I flipped out when I saw him behind bars. Thought it was an undead(I had just gone through towards Capra demon and was unlocking the shortcut back to the main sanc). Same as I axed the merchant in the Burg lmao. Stupid knee jerk reaction!
