I'm not going to kill any bosses really except for the bell ones and anorlondo (then turning it black).
getting to the parish from new londo > valley of the drakes > darkroot basin > dark root forest > undead parish

As long as you get back to your dead point (you'll have a green haze or w/e where you died) and recover your souls and humanity you'll be okay. It won't recover your human form but you'll be fine.
If you die on the way back you lose everything, so it's basically the second chance of dark souls. (not to be confused with second chance for demon's souls, that was auto-reraise) I was only upset about the humanity. I didn't need souls at that point.
Humanity increases your defenses and resistances though. :<

I'm just always pretty frugal with my gil lol. i wouldn't drop that kind of gil on loltown gear. It doesn't seem to have a very solid purpose as there are much better items for tp and WS that are cheaper. *shrug*
