The world changes. With the court so heavily stacked against men if I have anything whatsoever of value I'll get a pre-nup. It's illogical not to. Sure you can argue "but then you don't trust her" to which I'll simply say "you can never 100% trust anyone, even yourself". Besides, if the other person loves you it shouldn't matter to them either. :D /shrug On the reserve if you are married in the long house, even if you get a "legal" divorce, the reserve will recognize the long house vows until the death of a spouse, and neither party can remarry and have it recognized within the reservation community. That being said, if I truly loved someone that much to make those vows, signing a prenup wouldn't bother me that much, just the twinge thought of *dawww he wants to divorce me already :(* You don't simply walk into a marriage with the thought of leaving, people do stupid ***, people find out that they weren't that much in love with the other, people cheat(girls too), people grow apart. There's so many very good reasons for divorce.
My grandparents were married from the time my grandfather was 18 till he passed away of old age at erm 92? I think- with my grandmother holding his hand at the very end. This is the couple who chased each other around the kitchen, my Grandpop smacking /pinching her ***, and them holding hands whenever they were in public...THE WHOLE MARRIAGE.
Marriage is hard, but you work at it, and don't give up. I think some Dragon Age time is needed, or netflix time ... I dunno yet... or even demon souls lol.

If I'm in an unhappy marriage I will leave, things aren't always black and white. Maybe I'm leaving my wife because she's a slore and slept with Catnip.
I've seen a lot of people just wake up and realize that they aren't happy anymore being married or just can't stand their life. Perhaps I'm coming from this stance because I know about 5 people or so close to my family that they or their spouses just had to divorce. Not fighting, but they just couldn't live together anymore.
It was when one of those people almost lost his family business to the woman that I realized that no one is safe. :| Better to have some protection in case it doesn't work out. I call that accepting that we're human and **** up! Nothing to do with trust in my eyes. I am not debating the need for them, I would sign one if my partner so chose.. I am just sad at the current state of marriages. *shrug*
Eh, marriages are not really important, it's man made so a man can't have all the womens!
Yeah, I'm still bitter towards marriage, and I don't see myself getting married again.
Eh becomes important in legal issues if your long term partner becomes ill/incapacitated/dies.
I don't think I'll get married, It'll take a good woman, to stop me from diving into women left and right!
