Or pre-nup rate is higher because people know divorce rate is higher. :3
The world changes. With the court so heavily stacked against men if I have anything whatsoever of value I'll get a pre-nup. It's illogical not to.
Sure you can argue "but then you don't trust her" to which I'll simply say "you can never 100% trust anyone, even yourself".
Besides, if the other person loves you it shouldn't matter to them either. :D
Because people choose to not commit wholeheartedly..It is not till death do us part, its until something better comes along/Im bored/icheated/youwontgivemeshineys/wtf ever happens. If you walk into a marriage without that attitude that you can just walk away - well things would be different.

On the reserve if you are married in the long house, even if you get a "legal" divorce, the reserve will recognize the long house vows until the death of a spouse, and neither party can remarry and have it recognized within the reservation community.
That being said, if I truly loved someone that much to make those vows, signing a prenup wouldn't bother me that much, just the twinge thought of *dawww he wants to divorce me already :(*
