As for some of that MMO talk, I can't stand WoW because of the look of the environment and the characters themselves. The game play was alright and I can see why it's copied so often, but I simply could not play more than 1-2 days of the 2 different trials I did simply because I couldn't stand the look of almost anything in the game. :/ It's just too cartoony for me.

I was the same at first, but after a long while I kinda came around to the graphical style of WoW, probably just aswell seeing as majority of other MMO use the exact same graphics engine.
That is likely part of the reason I can't get into any other MMOs. Though it could also partially be because of the game play of other MMOs. There's a reason I keep coming back to FFXI but I can't usually spend more than a week or two on others.

Absolutely, the hotkey battle system just doesn't appeal to me once the novelty wears off, something about the job ability system in FFXI and the game mechanics makes it feel like im properly in control of all my actions. The reason I don't like FFXIV is because they trashed that and adopted the WoW hotkey system -.-

I didn't like that at first either but the combo system made it more interesting imo. The fact that most abilities do see regular use is a plus for me, alot of games give you tons of abilities then only a few really see much use out side of being highly situational. That just always seems like a waste to me.
