Man, 512mb of RAM makes this file check take half an hour :/
lol that's the bottleneck of XI's servers not your ram, and I read the rest.
yeah the chipset is where you want to look for the drivers, glad somebody actually knows what that is and how to look for them.
I may have an extra PCI-e card that would fit that slot but it needs a new fan or heatsink+fan.
teacher was letting us have them because the fans crapped out on them.
I don't have more of that speed ram though, and I am not sure if I'll be able to get my hands on some of that 4200 1gb sticks they have, if I can I'll try to grab 2.
I was pretty surprised Intel had the XP drivers for my chipset. But I'm probably not the only one with this model that decided to downgrade.
That... would be pretty awesome. As long as you aren't spending money for stuff or whatever, I would gladly accept. :o
Also, the corrupt 1gb stick I have works just fine as long as I take it out to install stuff. Weird. :x Must be a specific sector, but it's really a hassle to shut-down, take it out, start up and watch things install slowly.
typically 32bit drivers for the OS will work regardles if it came with XP or Vista, that board tbh could have been shipped with either to different people, the people who put the OS on was HP, and they do crazy things.
XP is an upgrade over Vista, didn't you get the memo?
Yeah np, and was probably going to have to figure out the weight and have you ship a return box or something for postage, since it'd be a couple $, I'll test them out first as I have a PC that will take the card and ram.
that ram only working part of the time is very odd, I'd replace it asap as it may start causing bsod's.
how'd the ram check go on it?
Navy and Army? You're gonna make everyone else at the Sheriff's Department look bad. :P
LESS TYPEY MORE FIXEY COMPUTERY
XD
XI is running the check and downloads stuff right now <_<
I think around 500ish files.
Though I think I need to find a driver for my graphics or else it won't work. PlayOnline looks awful <_<
why didn't you just copy/pasta the folder and do a check on the updated files? much faster than manual updates.
and yeah if it looks grainy it's either your graphics card or lack of directx, you check your device manager to see if everything is installed?
I downloaded everything from Krizz's site, it just had to check and still needed some 500ish files for some reason. No problems now, even dicked around a little on my 52SAM.
To everyone else: Sorry for triple post! :P
ah thought he had made a post in one of the "help need discs" threads about his files being out of date or something, maybe he'll see this and comment. I don't have steady internet or I wouldn't mind hosting a set of discs, and getting a copy of the euro discs too to host, as I've been seeing where people Don't have those either. (I'd probably host a torrent though, and just upload the tracker info, and use .7zip or .arc compression on the images, I don't need SE to pull a C&D on me, comcast already caught me sharing chaosx's ff7 from my gf's house. Which is sad since I did purchase a legal copy of the pc version of that, heh.
