Yeah, I heard the books were actually decent. I personally haven't read them yet. I've got about 10 books on my shelf for me to read before I buy more.
i prefer Anne Rice vamps, then Charlaine Harris vamps...in that order. if i had to choose any of the "lamer" vamps...it'd be the ones from Angel, then Buffy (the series)...cuz Buffy was more campy, and Angel was a more down and dirty show...though neither of em hold a candle to Anne Rice or Charlaine Harris
one of my fave pics i've found is one where it says "and then Buffy staked Edward" lol Someone told me that Vampire Diaries show was more about other paranormal beings than vamps, name seems kinda dumb then if it's true.
Buffy annoyed me. I didn't watch much of it though.

But from the 1-2 previews I've seen of it, isn't it pretty much just softcore porn with a vampy story? Like I said, I may be completely off-base here, and I've never seen it. That was my first impression, though.

So I've been sick for the past couple days and appearently when I get sick like this my voice decides to get really deep and funny sounding... ugh...
I never seen twilight.
When I first saw true blood, I said WTF this acting is crappy and whats up with the gap!?!?! and i ended up watching it still cause i wanted to see what happened next. ya lots of sex, blood, killing, gore, but entertaining to watch to me. definitely not a high school twilight with vampires glittering. Fang bangers anyone?

I read one of the books. I can't remember for sure what it was called though. Dead Before Dawn? Dead Until Dawn? Something like that. It has a close-up of a very pale girl's mouth with a vampire tooth licking a bit of blood of the corner of her lip on the cover. I was a little bored with that book. And I only bothered watching the first Twilight movie, although I did read all those books. They just aren't ok with me.
I do really like the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, though! The main character there is a shapeshifter, and there's werewolves, vampires, fae, and demons and such involved. I like that series rather a lot. |
