Just yet another boring sport.. Football is about as exciting as NASCAR..
as opposed to? baseball?
All sports are boring.. I don't like any of them.. They're fun when you're 10 and playing with local kids from the neighborhood.. But watching them? I mean c'mon.. Stop trying to hide the fact that you're a lazy *** who wants an excuse to not leave the couch and chug beer behind the guise of 'watching the game' <_<;;
(I don't watch it either) But at least NASCAR you have fiery wrecks once in awhile.. At least there's something.. But I don't need to watch it as it's happening.. I can just catch the highlights when all the news outlets blows it up and tries to make it out like it was spectacular..
Same thing with sports.. When there's an insanely, unbelievable play, I can catch it all by just checking my daily yahoo articles.. But I find far more often, it's the the things not being played across national TV that are amazing.. Mostly in high school..
***like that..
I don't like watching sports, but that doesn't mean I'm not capable of recognizing the amazing.. For as long as I can remember, Thanksgiving and football have always been a custom.. I watched it for many, many years.. And when I was locked up, again, I was forced to watch it.. The vast majority of it just running from one side to another, I don't have that team spirit ingrained on me like so many other seem to.. So I just don't care about it..
You want a sport I could get behind? Let's bring back the gladiatorial games.. Complete with the Bestiarius.. (I raged watching Spartacus B&S and not seeing a single one..)
At least with that sport, you were 100% guaranteed some good action one way or another.
I played sports through high school and college (with varying degrees of seriousness). I think we can celebrate the physical and tactical accomplishments of players. There are amazing plays, and there are not so amazing plays, but the fact that many of these guys can go out there and for years and work as a team shows something about the human condition I think.
Not saying you have to like sports though. I really only follow football and occasionally soccer. Occasionally other large events like the Olympics.

We can agree at that.. I don't follow it, but I do check in on the amazing things fairly regularly.. When I see the amazing plays I can be happy for them, the amazing plays are always the ones that were a long shot at best, the ones where the team was no longer a 'team' but a single entity.. But they're just so rare, and I just can't get interested enough to spend hours upon hours of watching for that 'one'.. If it is that great, it will pop up on my radar and I will watch, the rest I just ignore.. The great plays just don't make the experience of watching several games in a row, great.
Is my desire to see celebrities do porn tied to the fact that they don't, or they are just intrinsically hotter?
I've thought about it for a long time, I've questioned why it is I still want(ed) to see like Christina Aguilera [many, many years ago <_<] or Kate Beckinsale (just an example there are many, many more) do porn, when I have so maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany options... I still can't really tell if it's because they're are/were just intrinsically hotter, or if it's simply that I haven't seen it.. That desire to see it, which wouldn't really be that far off.. Some of the sexiest outfits I've ever seen don't 'show the goods'..

Okay new question.. Because now this is bugging me..
This one will probably require a bit more 'knowledge' than my last..
Abnormalness (despite firefox not recognizing it) is a word, and so is Abnormality.. Hollowness is a word, but Hollowity is not.. The base of each word can describe a trait or condition.. Yet only one can use the -ity.. Why?
I'm not sure why this popped up in my head (this is just the type of thing that's running through my mind all the time, the types of things that keep me awake, where my mind won't shut off and just focuses on something else) but it has, and now I'm curious.. English was not one of my better subjects, but I'd like to think I walked away with enough to get me through life and some to spare.. But I can't, despite any of what I learned in school, come up with a reason why..
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
