I got a herman miller embody new years back and really hated it, but because it was so expensive I kind of tried to force myself to like it. I am almost positive its related to the settings, because you have to constantly adjust them but I could never figure it out. It did get better when I got the headrest that finally came out (they claimed it wasn't needed originally.) If I was thinking harder on it I would have just returned it and gotten one of those cheaper secret lab ones, but I never looked more into it.

Herman miller or steelcase are the gold standard if you spend long hours in it and want to treat your back right. They're pretty expensive new, but if you browse craigslist/facebook you can often find them from office closures pretty cheap.

All love to Vyre, but the Shaq chair looks like someone took the base from a bargain basement gaming chair and slapped the most excessive leather seat they could find onto it. They might have put ergonomic in the name, but it doesn't look like it has anywhere near the amount of pivots/customizations of industry standard ergonomic chairs. Granted, I can admit I have bias against sports endorsements.
When I sat down on it in Office Depot on a random date night that went there, it just really sinks in. It's super plush and supported my lower back in a way that few chairs do. I found it very easy to actually lean back in, and unlike actual gaming chairs (/ewww) my head didn't hit the head rest before my back touched chair. I can't stand typical gaming chairs at all. They're made for mutants.

All in all, don't knock it until you sit in one. Shaq hasn't played sports in 14 years. He's been doing endorsements on Papa Johns and other things, and even got sworn in as a police deputy in Georgia.

Well, you basically need to setup a microsseevice using a crank for it to work.

At least this is how I feel when I looked at the picture of it.

It price is way beyond something a mutt like me would consider to buy.

Herman Millers are for office drones and ex-office stock that you get for cheap.

They're not good chairs other than that. Just marketing and $$$ makes offices buy them.

20-30 years ago they were one of the only good office chair options. Now days there are plenty cheaper and better options.

Chair shopping is an absolute pain now... Nobody locally has any good stock to try. I bought a memory foam bottom with mesh back Temperpedic about 8 years ago and it's still holding up great. Herman Miller is not worth the money because they market themselves to large companies buying large amounts of chairs.

Don't be fooled by pricetags with office chairs. Secret Lab is just heavily marketed Chinese junk. Unless your goal is to show off that logo on your Twitch stream, you may as well buy "Racer X Gaming Office Chair Extreme 2000".

I mean fair enough if you like them. Having used them in offices for decades, I never found them comfortable for me.

Some companies even give them away for free if you go and collect them.

It's not getting awful reviews which is a surprise. People aren't raging against it like they were with Old Guard 2.

*** are doing 4 eps next week and the second 4 next month

Same with stranger things in november

I like the 8 at once, it's convenient but it's bad for views.
I like the weekly rollout, that's perfectly fine.
I like the 2 eps per week, thats peak.
I *** hate half seasons with month delays.

I haven't watched yet but that's good news because Netflix movie selection is abysmal. maybe they'll be able to get rights for more good stuff in the future.
There are many streaming services. I get a Samsung channel free because I have a Samsung phone.

If you think Netflix's selection is lousy just look at Samsung's.

Big earthquake rolling out tsunamis, and 2 million people in Japan asked to evacuate.

Couldn't help but think of the 2011 tsunami and earthquake that broke Fukushima Daiichi, which then caused the rolling energy blackouts, and energy conservation measures across Japan.

My memory swears they relocated the FFXI servers to a different part of Japan during the shutdown, which is when people got really active here and on other forums for XI.

But I couldn't find anything on that. Just SE shutting down XI servers to save energy.

Got me thinking though... does anything know where, specifically, in Japan the XI servers are located?

SE don't publish information on the physical location of datacentres.

They do have four "clusters" in Japan, four in the US, two in Europe and one in Australia. Physical locations, and now physical hardware, are shared with XIV.

No info on which or how many DCs that is. A traceroute might give info if the telco's DNS exposes physical location. SE generally co-locate in datacentres of the major telecommunication companies per region - eg NTT.

NTT has three datacentres in Japan, two in Osaka and one east of Tokyo.

I mean, you get the mythic ws easier than that.

I guess if you made the mythic before you got the ws, you should be able to get it unlocked that way too, sure.
