Oh Aphmau. I slayed Odin Prime for you until Odin would listen. I thought I was saving Luzaf because you loved him, but it was me you loved all along, and now my soul is in Odin's clutches instead.
The heaviest of ironies.
At least nowadays I'm more powerful than Odin, anyway, so you know...

Do you feel guilty for not going to gym?
Im feeling like that, mostly because I ate so fricking lot this easter.
But I dont feel like leaving home. It not that I dont want to exercise, I just dont want to walk all my way to the gym in this rainy weather.

Imagine how the poor dog felt, having to ***in front of an entire audience.
Guess it depends on the audience. We had some lady in our old neighborhood squat over the neighborhood sign and take a ***on it while one of the HOA board members was watching. She was clearly having some kind of mental health episode but I related to her in that moment.

How often do you reckon the Mystery Machine has to pull over so that Scooby Doo can drop a deuce?

Funny seeing how many old comedy movies aged so poorly.
I watched this video about this guy reviewing 2 movies from a famous comedian here. This comedian should be somewhere between 60 to 70 year at that moment.
One of the movies was about he (the old comedian) wanting to be a kid again due how frustrating is his life. Because it is a movie, he actually manage to become a kid again.
The story goes on, when the "ending" time starts: the fake kid is reverted back to his 60-70 year old body. But he had a little girlfriend he made when he was transformed in a kid.
The solution to this impossible romance? Well, the wacko magic just transform the little girl in a barely legal teenager, so she can mantain the relationship with the old guy.
Happy (?) ending...
The second movie was about this old comedian suddenly dying and becoming an angel. Then, in te sky, the other angels task him to work as a cupid, and send the old guy, now a cupid, to help some random couple.
The story goes one, and the cupid work is done, and now is time for him to return to the sky.
But there was a girlfriend he made while he was among the living. But now they would be separated because she was alive and the old guy is dead.
The solution? Make the girfriend "become an angel" so they can both go to the sky together.
Happy (?) ending again.
Im prefectly aware mentality changes overtime. And I dont particularly review something old with current mentality.
Im just questioning how bizarre are those conclusions. They are bizarre regardless of the time.

I thought it has political theme in it? HK reference and such. It's banned in China.....
Edit: just read the interview with the creator. Apparently he has a performing art background. I guess his unique background can create something experimental and interesting....

Yeah politics is one of the themes that are not the main focus at first. I'm about 70% through the game so more themes might surface.
I didn't expect much from the game (being called "similar to Nier Automata" which is a pretty shallow comparison tbh.. but might have been good marketing for them lol), but the presentation & conversations grew on me. I could also personally relate to some issues some characters had that my friends seemed to struggle to grasp.

Panta, tastes change not just for individuals, but for entire cultures.
Disney has a vault full of animation they are far too embarrassed to re release today. Many other studios have as well.

I thought this game never feel like Nier in any way. Nier is a commercial game made by a big company with dozens of employees. 1000xresist is an art game made by a group of local performing artists who runs non-profit art organization then they decided to turn their art into interactive medium.
Their "drive" to make those games are very different to begin with.
That being said, I read the interview of the creator and his work in the past, and I find it hard to emotionally connect with his ideal and his work. I have very different opinion on all theme that he talked about in the interview lol.
It's just my intuition after reading the interview, while I like how more artists contributing in the gaming industry, I feel his ideal and what he wants to say in his game won't resonate with me that much personally.

Here Im at gym, doing stationary bike and peeking at television.
Title: “when not seen, animals show their true colors!”
Funny how all dogs being shown are always calm and playful, while all the cats are always aggressive and grumpy, and also showing emotions like jealousy, betrayals, the Hittlercats, in the end.
So, dogs >>>> cats

In the same television, they presented a stuntman called Travis Pastrana.
This name sounds so cool.

Here is one of them:
https://pancouver.ca/hong-kong-exile-co-founder-remy-siu-%E8%95%AD%E9%80%B8%E5%8D%97-injects-vancouvers-experimental-performing-arts-ethos-into-1000xresist-video-game/
Here is another one:
https://storymodeinfo.substack.com/p/sunset-visitors-remy-siu-on-1000xresist
tl;Dr: He started building a game because of COVID lockdown. And one of his central theme in his creation is immigrant life experience. Since he is a first-gen immigrant from HK himself.
Remy said: It’s very much a game made for Asian diaspora—and then, of course, even more specifically, Hong Kong immigrants.
In general, the experience of immigration, the experience of migration, the experience of being an ‘other’—all of that is hugely embedded in all the work we do.
Quote: “Why are you nostalgic for a home you’ve never experienced?” Siu asks. “Why are you attached to things that you know could be said as not yours?”
Also, some personal reaction after reading the interview.
Personally, his takes on immigration experience is something I can't connect with. I don't feel emotionally connect to a location or culture only because my ancestors. I only feel emotionally connected to a culture or social system if I see its value in terms of function and efficiency. So his "ancestor based" emotional connection with HK feels weird to me. Because I am a "value based" people when I build emotional connections.
He also had difficulty answering what "Chinese" means in the interview, but to me the answer is always simple enough: it's an identity that you either identify with or not.
So I feel that I probably won't resonate with his pov in his game because we are just so different on those matters. It's okay though.

Thanks for the links & the tl;dr. I normally avoid reading about whatever I'm playing till after I'm done, not only because of spoilers, but I also want to keep my experience "clean", uninfluenced by expectations nor colored by outside opinions.
I read the first one. I'll read the second one after I've finished the game.
Some personal thoughts in response to your thoughts: I only feel emotionally connected to a culture or social system if I see its value in terms of function and efficiency I understand this, and I'm the same btw. However, having played through much of the game, I feel that your impression of what the game presents & how it tackles it is a bit misled by Siu's quote that "It’s very much a game made for Asian diaspora". The way the game is written & presented, and the themes it discusses can appeal to a much wider demographic imo. I'm watching a friend play the game with 2 others and we're all engaged despite not being part of the Asian diaspora.
To me, even if the subject matter is totally unrelated to my experiences, I might still get interested if it's something that a lot of people experience, and learning about what their experience is like could enrich my understanding of the human experience after all, and I find value in that.
Another thing regarding connection or yearning to one's roots:
Another side to the struggle of immigrants is the struggle to fit in, and this one doesn't only depend on oneself, it depends on others, and whether they accept you or view as different instead & alienate you. The need for roots and the need for validation from peers are two different needs.
One can learn to break free from the need for validation and to fit in as they mature, but it is more gripping in those formative school years, especially that you're forced to mingle with people from all kinds of backgrounds. A HK-born highschool girl still struggling to learn english with a thick accent might understandibly feel like an outcast.

Just watched the first three episodes of Andor Season 2, great show. The best Star Wars content in over a decade. I don't really understand why Gilroy doesn't like alien races in Star Wars...but I can accept it for this great of a story.

I started watching the first series and forgot about it. Obi Wan series was amazing, I doubt I will like anything else more.

It's kinda stupid the Excalibur cut scene didn't use the lake in Jugner. A tiny pond in Dragon's Aery... (I know thats where you get Aegis but still)
All I could think of is:
Strange women bearded guys lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

It does fit the legend of Excalibur though, being submerged in a lake somewhere.
It's supposed to be unique, not distributed like candy to must-make-remas adventurers.

I recently started watching Demon Slayer. I'm enjoying the show, but I had a very humorous thought that I cannot stop thinking about. Everytime they do one of their moves like
"Water Breathing. First Form. Surface Slash"
The only thing I can think of is the people who put chat lines in their WS macros.
"Glowing moon guide me! Tachi:Gekko!"

Discord confirmed it is going public in the not to distance future, and the current CEO is stepping down. He is being replaced with some dood from Activision that everyone seems to not like.
Far greater monetization is probably coming, as well as possibly greater verification demands, possibly more censorship of adult material and more features locked behind Nitro.
The biggest fear I see is people worrying that this closed platform could potentially start deleting channels, and a vast amount of information that isn't backed up anywhere else could be lost.
I'm seeing people suggest revolt could be an alternative platform if it goes to pot (or as a backup).
By Drayco 2025-04-24 09:34:45
I've never liked Discord over forums for that reason. Published information on Discord is impossible to find.
I honestly don't like Discord much... It has all the "qualities" of a YouTube live chat.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
