Ever since I started my LP character I like getting new powers that I can't get in any other way/diversifying his FFXI portfolio. Like, taking any of the Aeonics is pretty dope, but you can technically get what all of them offer sans the special aftermath SCs from just meriting the WSes anyway.

Honor March doesn't come from anything else, which I don't particularly like, but I guess they gotta do something to make a unique aeonic instrument.

Asura pop has dropped quite a bit, and Vyre isn't on Asura anyway. Last I played there they had 2200 online during most times, and I guarantee half or more of that are AFK or bots.

Meanwhile, over on Fenrir: Welp, looks like I've gone through all three Dynamis linkshells, guess that content's over forever.

Sounds like lots of random thoughts are in Bahamut.

When i was there, i had lots of fun too. The places i enjoyed the most probably Bahamut, Phoenix, Shiva were all great places.

I played a bit on quetz, cerb, valefor, odin but didnt enjoy that much.

Assura was definitively the worst, and thats before it became a non-jp hub thats today.

My character is on Bahamut atm, but I haven't really done much in the name of socialization.. because, well, aside from free logins, the last time I actually "played" was back in 2017 or something

Look man, my schedule is ***, and I lost my motivation to play as much because I can't seem to hold a friend's attention for more than one evening per month.

Like I still wanna play. I still wanna record sidequests for my neverending LP of the game.

I wanna make an Aeonic. I wanna finish my Mythic.

It's just lonely and kinda boring if I can't get the mood right. And the time requirement is still big relative to the time I have to play, and my home situation and gaming arrangement also has to make room for my wife and my wife and mine's squabbles.

Like right now my computer is in the designated computer room, which since she bought the gate for giving them more space is basically the cats' half of the house. Dogs aren't allowed to go there, except on my off days which are for the foreseeable future still just Wednesday and Thursday. Saturdays I work mornings, so I have the evening with my lady, if she's not off shopping with her sisters or having a family day with her mom. Which she's doing a lot now because she switched to second shift so she doesn't really have free time during the week except late at night after work.

Which makes any weekend scheduling for events or anything almost impossible, because you can't put a game over your wife, obvs.

Like heck, now that I think about it, I don't know if her family is doing Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving Day because they might want to wait for her off day if she has to work on Turkey Day. I don't think she does, but we recently just had a spat because she gleefully told me all her weekends are booked up for November. So now that I've thought of that, even if I get the 24th off, I might still not be able to make Jet's Aeonic run because I'll have to go to her fam's for late Turkey.

Metric calendars in Canada say you missed Thanksgiving last month btw ;)
