AI is controversial because it has the potential to completely change the power struggle between capitalists/workers/consumers.

In the last 6 months some of the AI related stock price increased by 400%+(!!) which is insane. Hot money just keep entering AI related industry, those capitalists are making insane amount of money by branding AI as "the future of humanity!!!!" on the social media. Mainwhile companies are threatening employees about replacing human workers with AI.

Also in the past a few months I've seen gaming and marketing companies stole art assets from AI art community and use it in their products since AI art aren't copyright protected. On the same time consumers got *** with endless low quality AI mass produced products in the market.

Until our society start to sort out better rules that is more acceptable for everybody it will continue to be controversial. As people will continue to fight for their benefits.

I dont think we should care for our society, as humanity is quickly but steadly rushing to destroy every aspect of what we used to call society.

Maybe it wont happen to us (people around 40s), neither to our sons, but i dont think our grandsons gonna have a “society” remotely similar to what we had in our childhood.

At this point, im only accepting what our elite is bringing to humanity.

Its not like I or anyone else can do anything as we are so powerless.

Only thing we can do is remembering Darwin: its not the strongest, but the fittest. To suffer as little as possible, your only hope is to quickly adapt to changes

Picked up Shadow of the Tomb Raider for cheap a week or so ago. Started it today. It's basically the same game as Rise of the TR. I'm not saying its bad, although Croft's facial animations are bland, but it was worth waiting for the price drop. I understand why SE sold off the property. This game finishes the trilogy of a decent storyline, but who knows when the next TR will be made.

Might actually buy a ticket to LA to see that stacked distant worlds show, do I want cancer a 2nd time?

But what about the aliens

Just watched the Witcher. I liked episode 6, it was pretty grand in scale. Henry Cavill's exit is going to be...divisive. But I am going to give Liam Hemsworth a chance. It's not like he is responsible for the behind the scenes drama. It could be a chance for him to resurrect his otherwise dead career.

Not a good day yesterday in Barcelona for NYYC and American Magic. a 25kt gust sent them on a major header reminiscent of the 2020 Cup and NYYC's similar disaster that almost lost the boat, but it just goes to show why these Foiling Monohulls are considered "The F1 of Sailing"- you are always on the edge between exhilaration and disaster.

These AI art sites are addictive. Been using random prompts for over an hour just to see the results. Some good, some bad.

It'll never have as huge a boom as Endwalker since it's not the culmination of a decade-long plot, and there likely won't be another large franchise driving it's fanbase away at the time.
Hopefully the Xbox release will bring in a new wave of players though.

Also hoping the whole thing about FF working closer with Microsoft in the future also means the end of these terrible exclusivity deals, but that might just be me mainlining copium.

Xbox would have had it sooner if they would just let the Series S die. But hey, good for them.

I love variant dungeons. Would much rather have more of them than another Bozja; I'm still missing field notes from literally the first FATE in the first zone. Would definitely like more high-difficulty solo content like the Duels though.
My money's on a Mystic Knight/Rune Fencer kind of deal, because the sword in that fight against Gulool Ja Ja looks too weird for Corsair, unless that turns out to be some ceremonial item as part of the story.
But then, what we can see of his clothes under the cloak looks very Corsair, so /shrug.
I'd be happy with either, honestly.

Let people be outraged, I’m loving the callback with Mamool JA they’re doing with this expansion. They’ve been hanging around Limsa since at least 2.0 and more recently are heavily involved with Blue Mage.

I had a big X for an app, I thought some virus installed a porn app or something
