I mean that's more of an issue with the PSN than anything, especially a battery that under normal use should last longer than the hardware itself.
Or people could just have the part that is consumable replaced when it wears, but that one is on Sony for not making it easy to get to. I mean the "problem" is that people should get their batteries fixed when they die.

Hugs never had to set bios setting on boot for 3 months until they got arsed enough to go get the button cell and it shows, was real fun back in the 90s when you actually had to set things or your ***wouldn't boot, or even worse it'd nuke your drive as you set the hdd controller to the wrong settings and let the magic smoke out.
