But the fans want it so why not? I personally love remakes, Re2/3 and FF7r were tons of fun for me. According to sales they are far from wastes of resources. They are already working on FF16.. some fans are just hard to please whatever they do.
Easy money is dabess money. "Safe money" remakes are so hot right now.
Risk is for suckers. Remakes have built in automatic sales. I saw something a while ago with people saying they'd rather see live-action remakes of movies that weren't great but had a lot of potential. Aladdin doesn't need a live-action remake, but something like Atlantis or Treasure Planet could be awesome.
Same for video games. I'd love to see games like Brutal Legend or, I dunno, Sonic '06 or something. anyone going to play burning crusade Wow?
