Why are people so mad at this Pokemon game o.O

I didn't realize having every single old Pokemon was such a big deal.

We knew that for a long while now.

This isn't the first time it happened either. Ruby/Sapphire never had a National Dex either, it wasn't until Fire Red/Leaf Green came out that National Dex came out with it.

New system, new rules.

Well, they did do a pretty good job of drilling into our heads this notion of "Gotta Catch 'em All!" Completionism is a big deal for some people. But hey, I haven't played any of their games since Silver, so I'm not bothered.

Well, you can still catch all of the ones that are in this game o.O

Only real reason to complete the National Dex from Gen 5 onward is for the Shiny Charm, and for Gen 7, that requirement went to Aloha Dex only.

I still have my Pokemon Bank filled up with 800, not including the Melti family from Let's Go. When they let me transfer my bank, then that's almost an automatic Shiny Charm.

Also the reason given for the cut was so they could focus on making higher quality models and animations, and yet so many of them look like they were outright reused from the 3DS games.
And that's without going into how small the region is, or the fact that they straight up don't let you catch Pokemon over a certain level until you've beaten the right gym, or the complete removal of mega evolutions and z-moves, or cutting 140 or so moves (some of which have drastically reduced some Pokemon's coverage).
Really it's just yet another step in terms of dumbing the games down, like removing the Battle Frontier from the RSE remakes, except this time they removed so much ***that even the less hardcore players are getting annoyed.

The difference is that the "missing" Pokemon in RS still had data in the game allowing you to trade them over once they became available. Masuda has gone on record saying that you can not transfer Pokemon that aren't in the Galar region Pokedex. And it's pretty obvious that it's just to get more people to buy into their Pokemon Home subscription service instead of keeping their favourite Pokemon in-game.

I knew that you can find high level Pokes in the Wild Area right away, I didn't know you couldn't catch them yet.

Yeah, losing Mega Evolutions sucked. I could care less about Z-Moves, but Mega Evolutions at least was a very fun concept.

Then again, losing the Key system from B2/W2 also sucked. Hard mode Nuzlock is the best!

Well, yeah, that's the point of the subscription service. Pokemon Bank could technically be turned off for most of the time because after you do your initial transfer, you can cancel the subscription until the next gen comes out.

hmmm didnt know the issue was that deep. only knew of the cut pokedex due to "resourses", and the lack of Z/Mega stuff , but thought it was just game rebalance. imagine a Mega Charizard gone Godzilla. broken.

other than that, been pretty much kept out out of the loop of poke' happenings, didnt want to spoil the game before it came out.

BTW Rooks, you got my complete support on salting the earth.

And it's not for personal reasons like my inability to post there because reasons.

Hidden Power, Pursuit, Return/Frustration, and Dragon Rage are the ones I keep hearing about most often. I think Magnitude might be gone too.

I'm spoilered. I saw a couple of videos about what leakers discussed, including the full Pokedex for this generation.

But I was still hoping for Mega Evos. Leon spoiled it for us!

Not any of the more used moves then. Magnitude is probably the only one worth using, but then again, random factor is random.

There's a reason it's doing so well (and it's not just because it's had meh to terrible movies coming out as competition in the last month). Should've wait till the weekend then you could've been the $1 billionth grossed!!!

I typically don't relish slow burns, Breaking bad was hard for me to get through.

Unpopular opinion: Joker is an overrated character and there hasn't been a good live action one since Jack.
