Hmm, I like life the way it is, so dreams though they may be teases are fine by me. Admitedly, nightmares can be fairly bothersome for me though.

My nightmares are fine, and usually have something to do with zombies. It's all the other stuff I don't like.

Mine generally effect me physically. They get pretty gnarly. I've woken up before barely being able to breathe, with massive pain over my entire body. I'm always covered in sweat by the end of one, and my mind knows just how to set it up so it will always drive fear into my heart.

Let's see... my most recent nightmare involved this-

It's snowing in the town I live in, in USA Northwestern Georgia. I'm driving alone on the road in my small blue 2004 Toyota Camry Consumer Edition. Out of town. There's a cold fog obfuscating everything except the leafless trees on the road side. The snow has built up to where it covers everything, sticking to the road so that I must drive slowly. There are no other cars and no sound from my car.

On the side of the road I spot a giant looking fox. This fox is huge, about twice the size of a St. Bernard dog. Its muzzle is highly elongated, and at the time I spot it, its mouth is open. The fox's tongue hangs out, all of its fangs exposed. Its eyes are golden and happy looking. I'm still a good distance from this fox, and I pull over to the side of the snow covered road. I get out of my car, but I don't seem to be wearing any winter clothing; jeans, a t-shirt, and a pair of boots. I approach this giant happy looking fox. I get to within about 10 yards of it, and suddenly it closes its mouth. The happy glint in its eyes becomes malevolent. The fox stands and slowly begins walking towards me. Its gaze does not falter.

I take a step backwards, and then I turn around and begin walking. This is where the first sounds start in my dream. I can hear the light footsteps of this huge fox-demon, along with the steady rhythm of my heavy footsteps that crunch on the frozen snow.

I begin to run. The fox continues walking. I begin to sprint. The fox starts to trot. I make it to my car, but by this point I'm frantic. I pass the front door in my panic, and open up the back door instead. I look back. The fox is galloping towards me, its gaze unchanged, golden eyes locked on me. I can feel my heart pounding in my chest, the sweat on my brow is dripping off onto my hands as I open the back door and jump into the backseat. One of my legs still hanging out the door, I reach to slam the door, but someone is in the seat in front of me. They tilt the seat back as fast as they can, hard. The headrest hits me in the throat and begins to suffocate me. I'm struggling to get my fingers around the door handle. I can't breathe any more. The tips of my fingers claw pathetically trying to get a grip on the door. The pain of the headrest on my throat rises, and I'm hardly squirming for lack of air. As my eyes roll back in my head, the gaze of the fox meets my last sight through the back door window. I wake up.

Wow, you remember them in great detail. I just remember bits and pieces. For example, all I can remember from one of my zombie dreams is that Nemesis is going to attack me at a playground near my house.

In another, I remember that a girl I had a thing for was wearing one of my shirts.

Most of my dreams are lucid. If I think about it hard enough, I can remember dreams I had years ago.

I need to make an eBay account and sell some stuff before we move. All my American Girl dolls (5 of them? or 6) because they don't deserve to be boxed up and some other little squirt would love them, and 3 prom dresses. I need to make an account. Off to go do that now before I procrastinate again!

I don't usually remember my dreams at all. When I have nightmares, usually something bad is going to happen to someone I love and I am trying to go warn or protect them, but I am frozen. Can't move, can't scream, can only watch. Or if I do get my mouth open and start shrieking, no noise comes out. When I wake up, I start to forget the particulars like what was happening to who and why and where.

The only nightmare I've had that wasn't like that was one where I dreamed the zombie apocalypse was going on at my university. I got my hands on some guns that magically never ran out of ammo and killed my way to the lab my husband works in on campus to save him. But when I got there, he was already zombified. So I let him bite me, and then we were zombies together. It wasn't that bad actually, that was the best nightmare I've ever had.

I don't remember any dreams other than nightmares though. :/

Yes! They are the most incredible things on the planet! What's weird is I'm not a fan of ranch dressing either, but it is the perfect dipping sauce for them. (Get the slices not the wedges if you ever get the chance.)
