Iirc they changed BMI values a couple of years ago because it didnt represent society. They upped the values because according to the old BMI alot more people were overweight then there actually were... but that was mainly because overweight became the new norm and no longer the exception ... if that makes sense. So you could easily assume this "overfat" is the same as "overweight" on the old BMI chart.

Reminds me of the BMI stuff for the PRT in The Navy lol. I mean, the pie chart might actually make sense if they're going by height versus weight ratio, cause like, at 5'9 I'm considered too fat if I get to 181 pounds by the Navy BMI standard. At like 5'6 you can only weigh 160 pounds, or considered too fat etc.

And iirc, there was no discernment for gender either, actual body fat percentage, and if you had a really thick neck you could beat the Rope and Choke regardless of being overweight.

Eh, who cares if some graph or scale or whatever measurement is being used that is popular today considers you fat or not.

By the end of the day, we all bleed the same. We all will die, we all will become obscure moments in history, where our greatest achievements to mankind will be the amount of ***we produced.

I, for one, don't give a flying *** about these things. All I care about the person next to me is how much blood is sprayed over the wall when I gut them.....

Then stop promoting BMI, as it's utter garbage. It's not even good for what it was designed for.

It's not so much that I love BMI.

It's an imperfect tool.

What I dislike is people making excuses for their shitty behaviors by blaming one of the many numbers used to get a baseline for their health level.

Use a different number, I don't give a ***.

Because the bottom line is there are too many people out there blaming everyone else for their weight problems.

I've never seen anyone do that, but even if they did it really doesn't change the fact that it's an utter crap scale. It shouldn't be used, at all.

If they were going off BMI it doesn't factor in bone density either.

If you want to see the mindset I'm sort of raging against, look up the HAES movement.

It should be about striving for better health no matter your starting point. Perpetually looking to better yourself physically and psychologically.

It is a bunch of people making excuses for their weight and stating that it doesn't have an effect their health, and that you're detrimental to their psyche if you say otherwise.

In that case, I would refer you to the nearest AA registration center and meeting.

Also, to a liver doctor, cause damn man, your liver has got to be shot (with a shot, that is).
