i have

a book I love.

this book contains all 3:
Homeland was the book that got me into reading, before it the only times I read were for school or when my parents made me. I remember being really disappointed when I got all caught up and had to start waiting for him to write more books.

Edit: Well Homeland started it, cleric quintet sealed the deal.

Apparently they are bringing Thrawn back from the abyss in their little spinoff children's show Rebels.

Which is sad, I really would have loved to see Episodes VII-IX being the Thrawn trilogy.

I mean, bringing Thrawn back would be great, but it wouldn't have the same impact as it would have been unless it was in movie form. He was that good.

Yeah I couldn't remember it's name... the dialogue thing is a common issue I have when playing older games.

Edit:For me story is all about getting to know the individual characters and how they fit into the plot as opposed to the over all story. The story can be ***and I'll still like it if I could connect with the characters. Older games idk what it is but characters often feel flat to me, like everyone is Vaan in 12.
You just need to farther in 6 then. Not every character(there's 14) gets fully fleshed out, but there's some pretty good things in there that happen. You get to see quite a lot about them later in the game, and there's stopping points sometimes where you can go around and talk to all of them and get unique/one time dialogue.
That wont necessarily make it any better for me though, like I said it's difficult to put into words but easier to explain with books. When you read different authors you find they have their own styles, some are very poetic in their writing, others more direct. Some focus on characters and the story unfolds around them, meanwhile others focus on an overreaching plot and the characters are carried along by it, FF6 felt like the latter. If you are into reading at all check out a series called The Sundering

or War of the Spider Queen

Since each book is written by a different author they all "feel" different. Salvatore tells very character and action driven stories for example which I really like. I feel like I could be reading about real people and honestly I feel like I would have grown into a different person if I hadn't hadn't known those characters growing up. They seemed real enough to become the role modles I lacked in life. Kemp by contrast I've always found his focus lies in the plot and that his characters sometimes feel artificial or act out of character for the sake of advancing said plot. He tells very interesting stories but I don't find myself caring about the characters at all and that's sorta a selling point for me.

It comes down to different strokes for different blokes.

Edit: the woman on the cover of Resurrection is covered I promise!
Well, I wouldn't say that you're wrong. The overarching plot of 6 definitely carries the characters along, especially for the first half, but it doesn't feel unnatural given the setting and main/catalyst character.

I mean, I'm not gonna try to change your mind, but I will say that you should go through it sometime, in its entirety, to have a better gauge of it. I mean, how far did you get before?

I haven't seen Rebels. I saw some of the Clone Wars kid show, figured it would be from the same concept (suited more towards tweens than actual fans).

It's on my todo list it's just not at the top. Not super far, I fought ultros then it let me pick which character to follow. I picked locke then couldn't figure out where to go in the town and got distracted by other games.

Rebels has it's moments, but far and few between, but mostly a kids show.

It does however, piece some of the parts together and flesh out more of the in-between period of Episode 3, and Episode 4, and hints at some of the past of the Knights of Rem in season 2.

Urgh, even though it's still advertised on Nintendo's official site, stores are now selling the NES Classic for 79.99.

Which I suppose is better than the $150.00+ people on CL and Kijiji are selling it for.

Will admit, watching Jesse panic about getting Arrow's from Seabass was amusing. A9S - the TP sinkhole. lol.

I was snickering to myself a lot on Sunday because we did our first A9S run.

Minefield kept confusing Spire cards with Arrow cards. So he kept saying, "here PLD or DRG, have an Arrow!" and inside I was screaming "OMG NO, PLEASE! THEIR TP!"

=D The solution to that - kill A9S so fast you don't have a TP problem! ... yeah, I know not really a solution for a group that just started xD I promoted a Rook turret so often on our first A9S clear. Still, happy raiding! :)

Lol it really does just come down to our kill speed. But at least for our first 2hrs touching it was got to the last phase. At this point it's time for execution clean-up and hopefully next run will be a clear.

More than half of the group was completely new to Savage raiding in general so it's nice to see them picking up on things so well.
