Probably just try a soufflé or something else
Want to offer something completely homemade for family visiting later this month.
You can buy premade puffpastry with real butter. Making croissants is silly easy if you do it like that, just dont get the margarine crap. Making puffpastry at home all by yourself and in small batches and lacking of professional equipment is stupid to begin with.
alternative which everyone likes and is easy to make:
Chocolate moelleux, everyone loves that. Just need a good oven to make it and a good recepy for madeleine dough (which I can provide you with if you're intrested)

Hmmm...
I'll give it some thought, and googling to learn more.
To explain it simple, its a hot chocolate pastry with a melted chocolate dough inside. Its exceptionally tasty if you use a good chocolate, just serve with some vanilla icecream.
