Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

1. Ok, that's cool, but it's still nothing ground breaking. WHM and SCH have an easier time with crunches cause they have more tools.

2. Your spell speed is never minimal. If you're gearing for minimal spell speed as a healer, you are doing it wrong. With Diurnal Sect, and a healthy amount of Spell Speed(600~700 depending on preference), it becomes a .28~.3something cast, not 0.5 seconds. You might not want to waste Light Speed in a raiding scenario, but when I talk about jobs I'm talking about whole scope, whole game, dungeon content and raids. There's no way you can sit there and tell me that spamming 5 Gravity's under the effect of Lightspeed is less damage than casting 2, even 3, in the same amount of time. Ideally Swiftcast > Gravity > Lightspeed > Gravityx5.

3. My gripe is mostly that it cannot be laid down, and I have to either stop what I'm doing to move in, or wait for a moment where everyone is stacked.

4. This must be one of those things where what the tooltip says is inaccurate. The tooltip said 2 yalms. Still really lame for a 60 skill, and I have yet to see it make a difference in a DPS check lol.

5. The duration on Disable is ***. The thing about Virus is that you can put it on well ahead of time, and then go back to casting or doing your thing. Like sure, it's only a slight stagger for you to throw an off global, but throwing off globals as a caster is always a pain. Plus I often forget that Disable exists, because it has very few uses in conventional gameplay. I mean, with Virus you can at least toss it on a huge monster during a pull, or use it to leave yourself more wiggle room when you have an aggressive tank for dungeon bosses. You could use Disable in the same way, but it lasts for all of 2 auto attacks, and hell, you can't even throw it on during a cast bar, depending on the length of the cast. It's almost like Holmgang. It has its uses, but your timing has to be perfect.

6. Ahh, the more you know, but then my retort would be, FALSE! You will only be able to cast Helios while moving. Not that you would need to use Aspected Helios, but it has a longer cast time than regular Helios, and will not become instant with Lightspeed.

Misc:

The shield stance can be used in place of Scholar, if your WHM is good. I had it work well many times with Thordan on release. It's easier to shield on demand, and the shield is slightly stronger, disregarding crits. You just lose out on the other juicy fairy abilities, and the fairy's healing itself(being able to case Benefic II on top of shields doesn't really help imo). That said, AST is stronger overall in the Diurnal stance, and better suited to a main healer role, because it lacks output(3 DOTs vs. 5. Malefic 2 > Broil though).

You have to save Lightspeed to burst heal, in a raid there's no reason not to, I suppose. But then the downtime on Lightspeed is double that of Assize, and 6 times that of Indomitability.

Small correction, Combust 1 is 40 potency. Combust 2 is 45 potency.

Card RNG, let's be real. It's almost always Bole(I actually like The Bole though >.>), Spire, or Ewer. It doesn't even out, ever. :P Though if you want to stick it to your group good and be a super try hard, you can have a loaded AOE Balance, and draw another Balance before the pull.
