When someone makes baseless decisions like that (sometimes without even knowing themselves exactly why they did) it often just comes down to pack mentality, that's why I wondered.
I made the decision to not see it because I don't want to support Paul Feig. Feig was apparently bullied as a kid and in response to that made a movie where a female team of Ghostbusters shoot a big, male ghost in the *** to kill it. The new Ghostbusters strikes me as subtle feminist propaganda from a guy who is against brutish men because he was bullied. This isn't an excuse to spew thinly veiled hatred.
We need to focus more on being equal and finding peace with one another than highlighting our differences and stereotyping. So no, I will not see the movie, I will not support Paul Feig and his "the other boys used to hit me" tantrums, and I will choose to dislike the film because I can.
