I don't know if I'll ever finish my daggers, let alone the MNK weapon.. Have litteraly under 300k Gil -,- so items are kinda outta reach
Do you not craft or anything? Just doing some maps every now and then (mostly free ones, sometimes I'd get a few more from the market board) before the map changes I made about 15m off silks and bluebirds and random other stuff that dropped. I also crafted some housing items that were expensive at the time but cheap to make
Only got A at 60 atm and slowly working on gearing it, and been working 12-13 h shifts so havnt had time to do much ingame before passing out lok
I make money from...
-Trial roulette every day (5k+)
-Retainers bringing back silver pieces from the 18 hour venture every day (3k each retainer)
-Daily wyvern skin map (like 5-50k depending on what drops, 200k+ if it gives an unhidden map)
-Beast tribe quests (8.4kish if i do all 12)
-Dungeon drop gil + roulette gil (it's like 50-60k if you do all of them as the wanted class)
-Challenge log gil that just kinda happens... (like 20-40k a week I guess?)
-NPC selling dungeon drops that npc 1k or more
Usually not all of that every day mind you but they're all things you can do that will be contributing to relic along the way or just don't get in the way of it. Unless you stick to spamming alexander for items enough gil for the crafted items (or the mats if you know a crafter for them) should have rained on you. It all starts adding up pretty quick.
Since you have miner leveled you could also hit the aba rock salt node if you aren't busy at 12am/pm game time (first slot, use king's yeald 2 then unearth if you have enough GP) and sell that... not sure what else miner can get that's good for gil
Can also do 3 temple leves every 5 days for about 10k a pop and they only take 2 minutes to do. Avoiding teleporting around too much helps too or buying aetherite tickets with your 3.0 hunt seals since if you play a lot one day that can easily add up, especially if you are doing hunts.
If you try to craft for money always
always always take the cost of materials into account, even if you farm them yourself. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people say "I farmed the mats my self so it's all profit" and then proceed to sell the finished product for half the gil they could have gotten from just selling the mats. Also make sure you will actually make enough money off it to be worth the time and you wouldn't get more out of just doing an extra roulette... I can't really recommend the crafting route outside of food/pots/prisms though since markets on other stuff tend to be dryish or fragile and prone to crashing. If you have alch leveled you can make X pots super easy and those sell decent.
There is tons of money to be found just in odds and ends in XIV, even things that are really easy to make like dyes and glamour prisms have a high profit margin because lazy people like me buy them rather than deal with crafting them (it's like 1/10th the price to craft them yourself, I'm just that lazy)
