I don't drink anymore, and back when I did drink...well...I kind of forgot everything lol
While joking about alcohol is fine and all, fact is it's not for everybody. There was even a study that on a genetic level some people have tendency for violence and aggression while drunk. Why when I was young I said to myself "if drinking alcohol makes me go crazy and aggressive I'll stop drinking". But it didn't. (Instead it gave me hangover)

Well, I don't actually have anything against drinking and if I found something I actually liked then I'd buy it but all the alcohol I've tried I've disliked, especially beer.

If you were to read back a few pages from this point it would be a perfect anti-drinking ad.

It took me forever to find anything I liked, still not a fan of beer or wine, and I try a lot of really good wines and beers. Usually people that don't like that stuff will mix spirits with Soda or Juices. You can get very creative with drinking, we tried Caramel Vodka with Apple Cider (not the alcoholic kind) warmed up in a crock pot for about an hour and it was pretty awesome.

If you don't want to drink that's cool too, I won't begin to pretend I'm happy with how much I drink and that it won't cause health problems at some point in the future.

You are the only person I know with perhaps more of a drinking problem than myself.

Quote:
Swedish law defines two alcohol thresholds that govern where and to whom a given type of beer may be sold. Lättöl, i.e. beer below the lower threshold (2.25% by volume) is considered a lättdryck (light beverage) and may be sold anywhere to anyone. Starköl, beer above the upper threshold (3.5% by volume) may only be sold in Systembolaget stores to people aged 20 or above and in pubs to people aged 18 or above. Folköl, beer between the two thresholds may be sold in grocery stores but only to people aged 18 or above.

Since the 3.5% threshold is reasonably close to the alcohol content of an international lager beer, many international brands such as Heineken, Carlsberg and Pilsner Urquell are sold in two versions in Sweden - the internationally renowned product as a starköl at Systembolaget and a slightly watered-down version as a folköl in the grocery stores.

So basically alkoholfri/lättöl (0-2.25%) anyone can buy, folköl (2.25-3.5) you need to be 18 for and it's sold in stores, starköl (3.5% or higher) is at systembolaget.

Quote:
A government owned chain of liquor stores in Sweden. It is the only retail store allowed to sell alcoholic beverages that contain more than 3.5% alcohol by volume. To buy alcoholic beverages at Systembolaget one has to be 20 years of age or older. At Swedish restaurants and bars the legal age to buy alcoholic beverages is 18 years (though bars and clubs may voluntarily set an age limit higher than 18 if they prefer).

It also highly depends on the beer, many of the rarer or newer craft beers try to shove as much alcohol in as possible. It used to be your general domestic beers were 4.2% but even thats not always true.

For example in my state the most wanted beer currently is Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and its 14.2%, more than many wines.

Yeah and they're in a lot of places too. Just a bit expensive.
