One of my kitties that I grew up with since 98' passed away today. She was old and frail, and it was to be expected at some point, but it always hits hard to lose her nevertheless. Secondly, I managed to trip over a *** bum sleeping in the middle of the sidewalk, breaking my newly replaced phone. Didn't see them at all since it was already dark, and they were wrapped up in a dark blanket in the shadows. REALLY shitty way to end my day.

I'm looking to build the best possible PC for gaming. My budget at the moment is $5000, but I can go a little more if needed. Basically looking to get the best available parts for their performance/price ratio. (Not sure if the six/eight core processors are worth their cost in the performance dept., etc.) I will be doing this myself as well. Just though it would be nice to have comparisons and see what works out best. Am I wrong to just cancel classes cuz *** it, it's cold and nobody wants to be there before Thanksgiving break?

Two of those would run less than 2k, so you'd have 3k to build the rest of the rig, including going balls to the wall with drive setup and all, you'd have one beefy machine. I can't fathom that many current games require much beyond gpu and ssd performance to run at max, I may be wrong though, I haven't been keeping up with hardware for a bit. The current PC i use is a pre-built yogscast PC. Was probably about £1400~. But i could literally choose all the parts i had in it, as well as OS of the sorts.
But my dad then went on to suggest this PC rig to His office (He works as a CAD Technician, aka designing buildings of the sorts). and they got machines which would of cost em £1000+ for £700~, each one personalized for the people in the office. If i was to say going to build my own PC i'd use Chillblasts system just to find the spec i would want.
