You could eat something you absolutely hate in the company of people you love, and you'll still hate the food.

Eating food, tasting food, and cooking food is apart of life. You can enjoy the company of others just because they are around, and you can also by having them around while you share a meal together, or individual meals.

So yes, I would say food is a huge part of entertainment.

Food costs 3-10x more when you eat out. So depending on where the place you like it, the food cost is not irrelevant at all.

"Some place you like" doesn't necessarily equal a restaurant, it can be outside or some other place.

So it can be fairly cheap :0

Doesn't make the price relevant, cause food is needed regardless of whether the activity is entertaining or not. You missed the point.

Well, if you were to calculate the entertainment cost of eating, you should use the formula:

(COST OF EATING IN THE COMPANY OF OTHERS IN SOME PLACE YOU LIKE) - (COST OF EATING FOOD ALREADY IN YOUR FRIDGE)

If you are eating a sandwich you made yourself out on a picnic, then the cost is just the gas money to drive to your location (if applicable). If you're eating seafood spaghetti on a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, then it will be slightly more.

Honestly, unless it's a really good game, I'd rather eat out with friends.

So yes, the cost of entertainment of going out to eat is worth it for me. However, some people can play a game no matter how bad it is, but they also are losing out on experiences with others and building relationships.

Most large gatherings for food tend to take place in someone's home anyways so unless we're talking about an actual celebration...we need to figure out what we're talking about.
