Try having to wake up at 5 A.M., get to work at 6, work until ~10 P.M., and going to sleep at 11 only to do it all over again for 3 and a half months in a row!

Can't wait until Friday evening. 3 day weekend, and my only plans for those 3 days is volunteering at a fair on Saturday (which I do every year anyway).

I wish we could sleep all the time. While we snooze away, in our dreams we could be in a fake world that seems utterly indistinguishable from the real one, created by design. While we're dreaming though, we should be powering huge machines; I mean, what else are we going to do with all that energy we don't need?

The last time I worked hourly on a regular schedule in which I had to get up around 7am, drive an hour to work, and be there for 12 hours or more was back in 2005-2006 when I worked for Exxon. It was an ok job, pay was decent, but I definitely don't miss the rat race and the long hours.

If you don't consider events that I have to go to on a regular basis (dinners, late meetings, parties), it's nice having an 8 hour workday on a regular basis.
I will especially enjoy it at the start of next year....
