I'm so confused. For some reason, some of these tracks appear to be labeled in Chinese; despite being a Japanese game. I wonder why?
A lot of Japanese characters are based off an even older version of Chinese. So maybe that is why they appear similar?

<(O.o)> Don't know, Super Mario RPG runs fine it's the damn music that is all messed up on ZSNES.

On my SD cart, the game will not play on an actual Nintendo SNES due to the security and just says please turn off the system.

It locks up after X amount of time constantly, apparently.

Yeah, ZSNES's sound emulation is ***.

One I'm fairly certain that SD carts have issues of their own, due to the speed hence why a lot even today are still CF.

I'll hunt down that link for the plans to make a compatible cart, you two can make sense of it.

Well, the first track of the second disc is listed as 革命. Which is Chinese for Revolution, which is correct by translation. Then the next non-English track is 策謀, which is Japanese for Machination; which is also correct.

I just don't get why some are Chinese while others are Japanese.

They're not. It's Kanji.
Chinese characters pronounced differently in Japanese. (eg: Tsuchi and Do for 土)
It's still Japanese.
It's no different than the words you are reading right here are not Latin.
Different language, same script.

Much appreciated. I had a feeling I was just looking at it incorrectly.

Yeah, I can't find my link. I think it may just be the SD2SNES and it hasn't come along as far as I thought it would have by now.

I saw it years ago at this point.

My sarcasm detector is in the same place my link is.

Shame on you, they're great.

Don't get me wrong, I *** love hardware hacks, but accurate emulation is beautiful in it's own right.

The best part of a modded PSP was not having to swap the *** discs. Hell half the time the isos I had were games I legit owned.

Why not just use an emulator and a controller> usb adapter?

That being said I'm not sure if that cart utilizes a special chip, here's a chart of the flash carts and the chips they support:

http://www.stoneagegamer.com/snes-flash-comparison.html

(not sure how dated it is).

SA1 is a very complex expansion chip. In it there's a second 65816 CPU running at 7.6Mhz...

So it effectively more than doubles the amount of CPU power in a SNES. Super FX (the original name for that one was "MARIO CHIP") is a RISC CPU running at about 10Mhz but running a program for doing effects on shapes which are then copied to the console video memory using DMA.

It's about the same thing as the shapes effects acceleration that SEGA put on the MEGA-CD main chip but the Super FX which came like 2 years later is a lot more flexible due to being actually programmable. The chip on the MEGA-CD ASIC can only stretch/shrink and tilt shapes (like SNES MODE7).

SEGA also did something like that on a cartridge with their Virtua Racing game (SVP chip).

It's the reason I "modded" mine (softmod) I need to redo it. The real trick is MSPD cards aren't cheap, even now, the 2 microsd>PD adapter I had broke too, but it was cheap enough.

My PSP likes to shoot the games like a rocket, due to the spring latch being glitchy.

I'm aware, and I was nerding out, I like old microcontrollers.

It would pretty much require the actual chip and be able to handle it.
