That kinda sums up my thoughts of Nomura as a whole and why it scares me he's directing the FF7 remake.
Yeah cause Tifa totally wasn't trying to bring out "a strong reaction within."
It's not really about how scantily clad he makes female characters, but more so on his sense of stylizing things. I would be really bummed out if he decided to make all the characters leather-clad and flying all over the place like they did in Advent Children :/

Considering he's the one that did their recent designs for G-Bike, and from what we can see of Cloud and Barret in the teaser, it's a safe bet they won't be changed much, if at all.
Doesn't matter what it was, he got over it in the game and then he beat Sephiroth Then they made him kinda suck again
you're saying it's the same condition affecting him in both the game and advent children? hmmm
It's been awhile since I did a full playthrough of 7 in it's entirety, but I'm willing to wager that his sense of guilt over what happened to Aeris was what weighed him down in both the game and the movie. Not as the sole factor, but certainly a prominent one.

Which SNES emulator do you guys recommend using? I used to use something called SNES9X. I'd like one with a Turbo mode, but IIRC, the Turbo mode in SNES9X was super fast, and you couldn't adjust the speed.
Just making everything look as good as they can, which means making the characters look a little more normal
Go look at Barrett's full body art, his feet are like 3x the size of his head, same size as his torso
I understand. Modern graphics favor high amounts of detail which unfortunately has a tendency to eschew types of styles or art direction so that everything is proportional as not to break the suspension of disbelief. It's a difficult line to walk across.

I swear by ZSNES. It's pretty much compatible with every major rom I can think of, and very fast and stable with nice upscaling, filter, cheat and turbo/rewind features.

I don't see a problem with it myself, it's not like it'll replace the old game. You can always play the original whenever you want after all
ZSNES is not an accurate emulator. That means you might end playing a game in a way it would be different than what the game actually play on a real SNES console.
It's a weird feeling play a game you have already played on the real thing and notice it sounds odd, looks odd or feel odd.
Even worse is you play it first on a emulator only to learn later that it originally didn't play like you remember it.
That's something really bad.
Accurate emulators are usually very taxing on the host computer in system requirements.
uncanny valley is something looking almost human that is not human so it creates a sense of disturbed creepiness; which is why disney princesses have baby faces and big eyes, to avoid looking too much exactly like people.
But your video didn't hit the uncanny valley for me, she just looks like a human actor hmmm...
While that model of Miku was photo-realistic akin to an actual human actor, something about it was very off putting. Almost as though it was a realistic robot without any sense of "life" inside so to speak.

True. Nothing can take away the impact and consistency of the original, but I just worry SE will tumble back into the valley somewhere between the peaks of stylization and photo-realism.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
