Maybe after work, what's up mon chouchou?
Also I'm waiting for bloodborne to come to PC and a friend is seriously railing the combat as terribly designed, is it really that bad?
Bloodborne combat terribly designed...?
I really hope they're joking. There aren't many weapons this time around, but the ones they have are extremely well designed for both dual hand and two hand modes, and fit the theme of Bloodborne
very well. The enemy AI has never been more aggressive, the hunter NPC's AI is some of the most aggressive enemy AI I've ever played against. The final bosses AI, without spoiling anything, is one of the, if not the hardest of them all. The final boss isn't the hardest enemy, but I would put the boss in the top 3 / 2 bosses. The AI is extremely smart, evasive, and tries to parry you without reading your button presses, and does so successfully.
Also it's been known that Bloodborne is a PS4 exclusive, produced by Sony, and has almost zero chance coming to PC. I won't argue that it wouldn't look incredible on PC, but as far as we know, and have been told, and even by people like ENB and Vaati, it is going to be a PS4 exclusive and there are no plans for a PC release.
That doesn't mean there won't ever be one, but this is a PS4 game.
I hope people aren't trashing the game just because it's an exclusive, it is by far one of the best souls games ever released to date and one of Miyazaki's best.
The game oozes with atmosphere, and I died probably over 500 times my first playthrough. I would only put 1 of those deaths as questionable if it's my fault or not, and looking back, I don't blame the game. I had opportunity to get away and it just caught me.
I love Dark Souls, and I LOVE Demon's Souls, but I believe 100% that Bloodborne is my new favorite game. Not because of new game hype, not because I'm still playing it, but because I have never wanted to play a souls game for so long, for so many hours, ignoring sleep because I'm playing Bloodborne.
That doesn't mean I dont' find things wrong with the game, but I have completed it from start to finish and have seen many of the game's secrets. I kept my expectations low after DS2 and I was blown away from this release. It's such a beautiful game, the work put into the areas... the complexity of the maps. I would defend the level design of Bloodborne to no end. Remember that feeling of Undead Burg? That level is all of Bloodborne, but taken to a new level. No spider web area design like DS2, the entire world is weaved together, it is amazing how they were able to squeeze everything together. That feeling of looking off into the distance, or down in a pit, and seeing paths, buildings, etc, and knowing that you're going to be there, looking back at the spot you once stood, is such an amazing feeling.
I can't express how well done this game was made, it is one of his best works, and it really shows. The effort the whole team put into everything, how the weapons bend when you fold them up for dual handed mode, or unfold them for dual, the rush of having dogs attacking you and dodging you better than they ever have ever done in any souls game. The rush of facing a beast, who is ripping you apart and you have to attack them back to heal yourself, or gain some ground and use a blood vial to heal. The whole experience is amazing, such a rewarding feeling.
