We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the mega-popular Final Fantasy franchise. We asked him which Final Fantasy game he is the most proud of. His answer? Final Fantasy I.
"There was no guarantee that this game would make it," he explained. "There were a lot of worries, a lot of unstable factors going into this project. The original team only consisted of four people. Even in the end when we wrapped up the project, there was probably about ten of us."

Sakaguchi mentioned he had to wear a lot of different hats during the development process, but he didn't mind since he had a good rapport with his small team. "With such a small number of people that you can rely on, the relationship that we were able to build...was that much deeper and that much stronger."
The tiny team's efforts certainly paid off: Final Fantasy I would be the start of one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. But even after making mega-hits like Final Fantasy VII, Sakaguchi still remembers Final Fantasy I the most. "The culmination of [all] the feelings and memories I have towards the first Final Fantasy is probably the largest."
Old family friend adds me on Facebook
She's 19 now apparently and I'm shocked she even remembers me
"Of course! You used to spin me around in the backyard!"
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
