I've always kinda had an interest in the force. Most of my confidence in wanting to join came from talking with a few cops while at my old job and actually working this security job before I started hating it.

But yea the hair thing(aaaand piercings... Ugh) is definitely on my cons list for it. Not to mention since I haven't been working out very much this year I'm probably far too lanky for ten to even give me a second glance.

But honestly it came up tonight just because I was looking through Facebook and saw they had a page with te announcement in there.

Wasn't trying to discourage you...it can be rewarding. Certainly Voren has the whole 'professional' attitude down, it seems, and finds it fulfilling, in spite of the challenges.

I did work at the police department at my university, and talked to many of the career people there--certainly was a mix of 'career professionals', 'goold ol' boys', and 'no-ambition-day-to-day' types, along with the student-cadets in the programme who were majoring in Administration of Justice degrees. I really got the impression the force was made up of all different types and attitudes...clearly though, the ones that impressed me were the ones who strove to do the best work they could, and improve their intra-personal skills along with a solid educational background.

Anyhow, you could still look into it if only to keep that option around. :) Never bad to have too many choices later on. ^_-

Would it be because of the challenges that Voren finds it rewarding and fulfilling, rather than in spite of them?

I couldn't guess, but I do see him complain about some things in his posts once in a while, though. ^_- So even then, there must be stuff that bugs him. :p

Oh you didn't discourage me. XP Only one who does that is myself, and that mostly comes from thinking about stuff like the personality tests since technically I'm bipolar. :x

You were right though, my longer hair and the constant change in colors has kinda defined me, and even now I keep kicking myself in the *** for not having the money to dye it again. Don't get me wrong... Love my natural hair color, but I like changing ***up and kind proving to myself I'm not quite like everyone else both in the way I act and the way I attempt to display myself.

Edit: random thought this reminded me of, My sister sent a picture of me to my father from Christmas, I was wearing a vest and dress shirt and recently cut my hair. Dad called the next day and told me I looked like a real cook (was making food for dinner in the kitchen) and was sounding all proud of me... Made me tear up a bit.

I keep trying to take myself out, and I keep dragging myself back in.

There hasn't been a good thread in some time though.

Never! Just post snide remarks and make fun of it.

Politricks is a stage show. Sit back and enjoy it.

If you were the leader of the military alliance of the 20 most powerful democracy-run countries' armies, what is the first action you'd propose that super military do?

Be the natural american leader and take a 6 month vacation at the taxpayers expense while using the super military as my bodyguards.

Create a virus that kills only humans and unleash it on the world by accident due to some guy tripping in a lab somewhere in New York. We'll say the guys name is Frank and he is hungover.

It's called the Ferguson Effect. Like the Butterfly Effect but more racist.

We can call it operation wipe-out

That name might scare people off, might have to call it, "Operation: Rum and Coke" or "Microsoft 8".
Needs to be more Americanized. "Operation Desert Punk'd Eagle Storm"
