Boo hoo pc ports. I don't like the XIII saga and even I am glad they're releasing it for PC. They're not really wasting resources doing it as it's a fairly easy thing, they making money and giving a chance to play them to those who didn't bother with a ps3/360. It's a win for everyone ffs.
Considering that SE's release crashes on launch for the "majority" of customers, I have to disagree.
Yes it's nice that they put the product out there so PC users can finally experience the greatness that is XIII, but by putting no effort in the port they wasted a lot of customers money buying their product that can't even launch correctly on their system.
The only reason it's semi-okay atm is that the user who created DSFix for Dark Souls 1 created a fix for the FFXIII port that not only corrects the crashing issue on startup but also boosts the game to 1080p at 60 FPS.
So yes, it's a good thing that SE released the games for PC, but they should have made sure they didn't release a product that wouldn't even play for their customers.
It's like companies think that if they put the minimum effort in getting the product out there that Durante will just do the rest for them at no cost. However I bet that it hurt sales having a bad PC port out there for everyone to read.
