So my local council just unveiled a statue outside the Library in the city center that's meant to depict a "Real Birmingham Family" Two single moms. Well done Birmingham City council, you just proved how out of touch you are.
Had to go to Houston yesterday, I hate Houston, people are god damn unfriendly there.
Houston Methodist Hospital was very nice though, made me feel like I was in a hotel.
Traffic going out was hell. Even though I left at 5:30 P.M. and took the Katy Tollroad down I 10, I still didn't get passed I99 until after 6:30 P.M. -.-
Last time I went to houston. radio was saying there was a bus flipped along with fire on several major highways in the area....Yup that's houston.
Only in Texas can one bus flip over several major highways and catch on fire doing so.
Texans can't drive. I once saw a truck stop in the middle of the highway to watch kids sledding. We were behind him and an 18-wheeler was barreling down on us. First day on that job, between Mt. Pleasant and Daingerfield (20 min ride) the road was blocked because a Pilgrim's Pride and Red Baron pizza truck collided. Two months later, same road an 18-wheeler flipped through some guys yard, tore up a tree, a brick retaining wall, and the car port, became separated from the trailer, and the cab landed upright. The driver wasn't injured.
EDIT: When I told our foreman about the trucks colliding, he stood there staring before saying "I thought there was a joke there."
Funny ***happened on that job. Saw some of the tank guys rip the bed off of a small Mazda truck, saw my brother set his shirt on fire because "It's too dirty." Someone took a ***in the urinal of the port-a-potty, foreman went and bought a motorized log splitter and we used it to bend rebar. We ran two concrete plants out of concrete. I got food poisoning....ok, I didn't find that too funny.
Just because a truck driver crashes in Texas doesn't mean they're from Texas lol. But having lived in Houston for 6 months I agree those people can't drive.
Texas drivers are something else, out of all the places I've been this place tho.. lol
Yeah. I noticed that during my trips around the US. I find that my driving would put aggressive drivers in that state to shame...
Never once got a speeding ticket, or even pulled over. I guess the cops were too scared to pull me over.
You probably drive like a 90 year old granny with your left indicator always on and going 15 miles on the highway.
"Go around, sonny Jim! Dadgum whippersnappers are always in a rush! Sorry Baby Jesus for swearing, I'll make you some cookies after I go to the market to buy some sugar and liver for tonight's dinner. You can share with my adorable 18,000 cats."
Wow. That metaphor got away from me. I must be really bored.

Kinda reminds me of that Key & Peele skit with the two church ladies talking about torturing Satan.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
