I have a feeling they won't give back my $4 either.
Now I have to come up with an elaborate plan to get a pony to bite the wiener off the CEO of Square-Enix because they won't refund my $4.

Yeah, definitely going with Crysta this time. No mandatory dollar charges for simply trying or rather attempting to process my CC info. Just a currency that they somehow process better than actual payment information. Go figure that one out.

Usually those activation $1 are refunded to your card. It's usually to make sure the card can actually authorize and the $1 is never actually spent. I'd give them a call or get on chat to see whats up.

They're not open for business yet, but I did send an email to their support line. Annoyingly there's no automated "we got your email" response, so for all I know my plea for help has vanished into the aether.

Everyone in my unit is hacking up a lung, a few have taken sick days, but now keep coming to work and "soldiering through it."

I hate when people do that.

i don't really see why that's allowed. letting sick people work and contaminate the rest of the workforce and the workplace seems like a bad idea. when I become president of the earth im making work while youre sick illegal

Because people use their sick time to stay at home and baby their sick children and then decide they've taken too much time off and don't want to use their sick time on themselves. And then they bring their brat's disease into the office.

Edit: And in other places, it's because they don't give their employees any sick time, and people can't afford to call off or -- in some cases -- can't call off without being fired.

It's possible their work provides little to no compensation for having a sick day, so missing a day of work, justified or otherwise is a harsh blow to their check.

Though this seems to be a common reality lol.

That happened to me the other week when I tried to reactivate during the free period (hadn't been reading any FF related stuff so I didn't know about the free period at the time) I noticed I`d been charged £7 from repeated attempts over the weekend. After I spoke to a rep they said it was just to ensure the payment would go through. Few days later I got a full refund.

Well, I'm sure those pesky $1 charges will go away, but it's frustrating as hell as to why I'm able to pay for my first account's reactivation, but not my second, as they're both linked to my singular SE account and both are subject to the same form of payment.

I doubt the SE rep will know what the problem is. The reason I was having reactivation problems was because it was during the free period, the rep said it was an issue with my credit card.

Good to know I'll likely be met with some resistance. Sadly there's little to no reason why my card specifically won't work for one account, but not the other. Go figure that their "trusted" third party and provisioner of their pseudo currency functions much easier than actually processing direct credit card information.

Probably because the money is vetted immediately through their chosen business partners rather than the pesky security checks and flags that go down when giving CC info directly.

they should only be "pending" and clear themselves after a couple of days.

I was getting pissed the other day at work when the stupid assistant in training was acting like a toyal *** to the other guy working who kept puking, all I said is that it was against health code violation for him to be working while vomiting, which is true.
