Hideo Kojima, the guy responsible for the amazing Metal Gear Solid franchise.

Like, two years ago he mentioned he'd be interested in making a Silent Hill game if Konami approached him about it. They did and now we've got a FOX Engine Silent Hill game in the works with Norman Reedus voicing and giving away his likeness for the main characters model.



I am tentatively excited. Kojima NEEDS to get the horror and deep story down if he wants SH fans to be happy with this game. MGS has proven he can do story, so... yeah.

EDIT: He's working with Guillermo del Toro, who's apparently decently known for horror films? So horror might be down too. Assuming they're not assuming slasher = horror.

EDIT AGAIN: Apparently some of the names in the credits are original Team Silent members. Some of the most important ones. And Masahiro Ito, the art director and creature designer for the first three games has stated he's be interesting in working with Kojima on a Silent Hill game. So, *** yeah.

I don't watch movies very often. Like, less than five a year.

EDIT: Looks like he directed, produced and wrote Pan's Labyrinth. Not bad.

He's more famous for action than horror really. Helloboy/Hellboy 2 and Pan's Labyrinth show his artsy and creative side though. And Pacific Rim was terrible, but awesome at the same time... because giant robots.
