I honestly don't mind Kickstarter, but it has gotten to be too high profile, which kind of defeats the purpose. It's supposed to be for people who don't have access to loads of money to fund their projects. Then again, like all great ideas, they start with good intentions but are poorly implemented.
That being said, the film I had a role in would never have been made without Kickstarter. And yes, it's still not done, but that's because the sound guy was a jackass and left halfway through production.

Crowdfunding is nice when it's a legit need or reason to do it,

Guy wants 100 bucks for Chinese food lmao. My wife, my roommates and myself are moving come August and don't want to have to throw out any food when we move so we want to just have take out the week before we move. A little help with this would go a long way. I love planting Paralysis poisons on people and watching them fall over, I also horde booze and my character seems to decapitate people even when I don't use a power attack, she's kinda a twisted ***.

I was easily getting one hit kills constantly. I'll show you a snout.
