Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

So I've got the new job, and put in my two weeks at my old one. The new job, Security Officer position, has my schedule for the remaining days I work, they're trying to get what they can out of me until I'm "fully theirs" *shivers* hate the way they said that...

Anyway, after handing in my two weeks, work is now all abuzz trying to figure out how to get me to stay. To figure out just how much they're kissing my *** realize that my current nickname by one of my friends that works with me is "Golden-rimmed messiah." Essentially, they're realizing one of their best workers actually HAS been trying to find a new job like he said he has this whole time and now that he's actually found one, they're scrambling faster than cockroaches to find some way to keep me there.

So my current situation is this: I work for the security company for the first time today (they just called me in) and then work again tonight, with a meeting with my store supervisor tomorrow(which is a night off for me). What I've been told so far is he's willing to offer me ~$1+ raise, a promotion, and will possibly work on a few other things I've requested(things like eventually switching over to days, etc.)

Being completely honest, I don't really want the security position after doing the training and finally being told what I'll be doing/time frame of stuff. Why? Well because for one I can get a huge whiff of the buddy buddy triangles that it looks like it requires to get higher up/good gigs. Two, because I fully realize now that rather than a "security officer" it's more like I'll be a maintenance man with no actual skills and three, because I've finally come to realize I don't really hate my current job but rather felt like I needed to make known to myself my worth and that it was possible for me to get another job very quickly.

So essentially, my next two or so days comes down to how much I can get work to realize I'm worth, and all the fun I'm going to have torturing the *** out of them to get what I deserve because I've already signed the papers for the new job, I don't have any obligation to take my current job's offer and they know if they lose me they're *** royally.

Side Note: I have also found out that the manager position I applied for at another store in town actually called them and they told them "no" because apparently I hadn't told anyone of my application so they couldn't let me go. In fact, I told 3 people ranging from the manager directly above me to the two managers directly above her (who are supposed to be the people I report these things to). In other words, they possibly *** me out of a normal day job which means, I have even more ammo.

Bahahahahaha! Troy has some fun in store for tomorrow, ooooooh yes.
