You can't win an internet argument. That is rule number one.

I sincerely doubt kindness is motivating your "messing with someone" in this instance lol
I guess my idea of "messing" with someone is a bit different lol
I'll poke holes in their logic and hopefully some truth will leak in ;) Careful. you remember that rambly lame post I made once about belief and asked how you felt. Those types of people can be ruthless if excessively uninhibited.Their eagerness to blert out everything on their mind is when their weaknesses will be revealed, and that is when I will strike with the right things to say to break their barrier they have built up in their minds, and hopefully that barrier that is narrowing their mind/vision will be a little bit smaller when I'm done.

Not entirely true, as long as any truth sunk in I claim it to be a victory.

That line of thought isn't the one that will convince people though. Understanding is the first step towards overcoming closed minds, not the end result.
A defensive mind is usually an already undefeatable mind, especially if you feel confident enough in their lack of intelligence to accurately condescend. The understanding comes in the first part of what I said about (observing) in their eagerness to blert out (reveal) their mind to me.
and for defensive minds - there is no perfect defense

If only they would use their anger for something practical.

I usually do this thing called not talking to them, it's been working for quite some time now.
I'd rather not waste my time turning someone's face blue over petty things.

A lot of people get emotional when they don't have a good argument. Resort to insults and mocking. That is when you hit them hard.

you're not making sense. A defensive mind will never be open to your opinion until you've disarmed them. And "striking" in any way wont ever disarm someone. Showing understanding or showing something they consider weakness would be the fastest way to disarm someone's defenses.
I am talking mutual understanding not "endoq this is how you comprehend their thought processes to effectively attack." So basically at that point their mind is no longer defensive and is now an open mind?
We are saying the same thing just worded differently I think

omnomnomnom The Saga of the Zodiac Weapons has been added.
Legend tells of heroes known as the Zodiac Braves who saved the world from certain destruction. Bearing arms that shone with the light of a thousand stars, they arose to banish the gathering darkness.
Inspired by this legend, a Far Eastern alchemist named Jalzahn has journeyed to Eorzea. His sole objective: the creation of mighty weapons that would rival even those wielded by the heroes of eld.
Quest Required Level / Location
Up in Arms Disciple of War or Magic level 50
North Shroud (X:30, Y:20)
NPC: Gerolt
Trial of the Braves Disciple of War or Magic level 50
North Shroud (X:29, Y:19)
NPC: Jalzahn
* To accept the quest ”Up in Arms”, players must first complete the quest "A Relic Reborn" with any Disciple of War or Magic, and be equipped with a Zenith relic weapon.
Additional quests for the Saga of the Zodiac Weapons will follow in subsequent updates, allowing players to progressively increase the strength of their relic weapons over time.
yay for Final Fantasy Tactics and Ivalice lore refrences~ :o Really hope the DRG one looks good. :x If it doesn't you have the vanity system for that.

Ah that might be a problem... though they are adding a npc that supposedly will sell it if you dropped it or something so maybe you can get it from them?
Quote: Quest and event items that are only awarded once may now be purchased from the Calamity salvager NPC.
* Only items a player has previously obtained from the respective quests will be available.
* Items sold by seasonal event vendors will be available for purchase regardless of previous quest completion.

I'm wondering how people can be so cruel...
it's pretty easy really.
in my case I was raised evil, but I also had a real knack for it so it came quite naturally.
happiness can't exist without cruelty to balance it out.
it's one of those yin yang things where you can't have nice things unless you have stupid people to ruin them...

Balance in all things
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
