:-( One of my coworkers had a seizure this morning. He was putting together hardware packets when he just sorta slithered out of his chair and started seizing on the floor. Some of my coworkers put towels under his head (it's a hard cement floor) and some went to get the supervisors and bosses, and I went to the next building and got his handler because she was helping Charlotte at the time. Then I stayed out of the room until he was up and feeling better because 1.) too many people were already crowding him and 2.) nobody needs an audience of curious and useless people while they are in the middle of a seizure.
But, ok. Do any of you have seizures? What do you prefer people to do? Stay out of the way? Give you looks that they think are comforting but they might actually look like the are summoning a helpful demon? Pretend not to see to preserve dignity? Stick their fingers in your mouth to try to keep you from swallowing your tongue? How on earth is that actually swallowable, and how exactly do you keep someone from swallowing it? If you seize in a room full of coworkers, what would be the best thing for them to do?
I'll have to check and see if we're allowed to call an ambulance or if we need a supervisor to do it. I wonder why no one called one this time? :o We got him comfortable and then called his parents, and they came and picked him up. It would have made more sense to call an ambulance than to just put towels under his head!
can they really stop you from calling an ambulance or fire you for having done that? Sounds like an epl suit to me! in any case doesn't hurt to consult management about what to do in those types of situations but better to do so before than when its happening...
Bleh, both Hyperion and Excalibur are full at the moment ._.
While waiting to get onto Excalibur, I made a character on Coeurl. I logged out long enough to see if they had removed the restriction on Excalibur, and now I can't log back in. No queue, just a flat out, "Server is full, try again later" message. I'm not the only one, though.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
