The trade off is worth it for me,mixed servers vs the 100% chance to get a timezone friendly LS to keep me playing the game longer. It was fine a few years ago,but i dont like staying up mad late anymore

If I remember correctly, I believe more people play ffxiv than ffxi these days. Not as of late obviously but before the shutdown.
Not like I have obligations or anything,its just eventually got to be a pain getting out of bed at 4pm,gym at 7pm, anything with RL friends only had a window of about 2 hours after that and then I was stuck on XI most of the night or something. Takes its tool eventually @_@

 I realize its to each their own,all have their own reasons to,and everyone's definition of fun varies. But looking at the state of XI since the end of abyssea,I cant understand how anyone can play it anymore (including myself,I dont know how I stayed so long before permaquitting). But I guess thats how the MMO addiction gets you I suppose
