Atheists/ Agnostics Get Together And Chat!

Hey to everyone that thinks the same way! I started this thread so that we all could get together and repeat the stuff we like to hear to each other. Usually, threads get contaminated by people who think differently, and valuable space that could be used to recycle our staple beliefs is wasted with dissenting opinions.

So come on in, enjoy, and let's make ourselves feel good!

I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean he likes them in the same way you mean you like them, but I could be wrong. 8D

So for new years eve a friend was throwing a party at their house. They are a strict religious family and their party was a no alcohol party.

I thought it was going to be pretty lame, but they had tons of people from their church community there. There was plenty of great home made snacks and social

interaction/entertainment. I met with some friends at a bar/club later and watched the ball drop, but the group of people I was with weren't impressed with the place so we returned to

the religious house and had a blast with the rest of the night. There was even a proposal!



While talking at the religious house I was made aware of some sort of extended youth group for those people that are out of high school but under 30. It sounded like just the type of

thing I would like to join. Mostly because of the social aspect. I'm not religious myself. Which brings me to my real question.



I see church and the religious community as simply a social network. I have been in many religious communities and enjoy meeting new people and I do miss that aspect of them.

What networks/communities exist for young adults that don't enjoy churchs or bars?

I think Churches are bars for some folk. I know several women that go to them only to find guys.
