I have a hard drive somewhere from a late 80's early 90's computer, It's like a 2 or 4 GB hard drive or something ridiculously small .
few pages back i know, was getting caught up on thread. late 80s early 90s still were brand new OMGWTFBBQ awesome with 400MB drives.
a 4 GB drive from then would have cost a few thousand dollars, and weighed a metric ton. my parents bought a brand new P1 75mhz, 350MB HDD, 512KB RAM for $1200 in mid 1992. "This is the only PC we'll ever need to buy," says my father. lol
I don't know exactly what it's size is off the top of my head, I just threw a number out there cuz I ain't going up there just to find it and give an accurate size <_<.

long story short...kid used dodgeball at school to hurt my son, called him the "N" word then proceeded to basically beat the hell out of him (only actual injury is a possibly broken thumb..still..wtf?) Teacher witnessed the problem, removed other kid from game and gym, sent him to the principal's office...principal calls me and apologizes "on behalf of the kid and his parents"...kid's parents call me 2hrs later to tell me they do NOT apologize because, in their words,
"Our son would never do such a terrible thing, we're not racist and neither is he, something else must have happened"
When I explained that the boys' teacher saw and heard everything, they insisted their son would never do such a thing, and hung up on me...

You know, if the parents keep ***going like that, you could always sue for medical damages and the like. Maybe then the parents will get it through their thick skull.
He might not be a racist, maybe he only used the word because he was angry with your son and he knew it would hurt him? Maybe they had a fight or something.

Yeah, depending on how much of this thumb thing is covered by our insurance, I may end up suing them fo rout of pocket expensies...he has to have x-rays and splints and yadda yadda...dunno how much my insurance will cover considering someone else is at fault for it. >.<

That is entirely possible, I don;'t know the entire story so I am indeed weary about labeling the boy as a racist.
My son says he's been having trouble with this boy all week, principal says he transferred to our school just this year...I'm wondering the boy's motives...my son says he'd never actually even spoken to the boy (which might be true, might not, again, I don't know for sure).
I remember a kid back when I was in Jr High that transferred in the middle of the year and decided she wanted to have a "bad girl" reputation at our school, so she beat up smaller girls once a week for the rest of the year. It worked, she got her reputation...but geez.
I don't want to say or think that is what this boy is doing but I do know it's possible...seems pretty sad though.
