It still has an epic mustache.
Also after checking it on youtube, I am disturbed yet intrigued at the same time. Only you could pull that off Bart.

After checking into Amnesia from all the consistent "scariest" moments it got, I found a video that just made me laugh too much.

I'm not sure I can take the game seriously now. lol

Sure it's been [re]posted on this forum before but yeah:

lol the part he's in has like 4 of those things, you just can't see it cuz he skips around and cuts away formt he video. The game isn't that scary, but the video is pretty funny lol

I spent a ton of time downloading a game for my PC (well by a ton of time, like a night, but getting it working took me about an hour)

And it's shitacular.

What game? I been doing a lot of game downloading recently too.. My demonoid account jumped from like 50GB down to over a 100GB down in about a month..

I'm running out of games though :x I've went through Gamestop checking out every single game on PC and deciding whether it's worth checking out, I'm basically caught up over the last 8 years, although I still got a few to get.

What game?

The Witcher.

This is also why I pirate. I would have been incredibly pissed off if I'd dropped £12 on this.

The story was meh (From what I saw) the controls were god awful, the battles were clunky and the voice actors did really bad British accents.

Gamespot gave it a good review (First result on google).

Edit: IGN too.

Edit 2: It almost exclusively got good reviews, actually. 81/100 on Metacritic which is very high.

Lately I've been into fighting flight simulators (Heroes over x, something I can't even spell and I have to look up everytime.. IL-2 Sturmovik, that's it..) The latter being a huge disappointment.. My flight stick is far from compatible (if there is any compatible).. You would need a top of the line like 20-30 button flight stick to play that game on.. Otherwise you're basically required to use a keyboard, and who the *** wants to fly a plane with a keyboard -.-.

Although if you're going for accuracy, it's definitely the right game for you.. You basically need a pilot's license to play it.. You have to account for everything a real life pilot would, including the torque from the engine while you take off (trying to force the plane in one direction).. Every last thing you adjust on a WWII-era plane, is there.

These reviews are actually making me want to download both The Witcher games. The Witcher 2 is sitting at 93/100 (FYI, Portal 2 is at 95/100 for recent games).

Well from what I saw from my limited playtime of it the controls were so horrible that I basically had no motivation to pursue the game.

I might download the second if it's better.

Heroes over Europe is a good game to pick up, if you have a flight stick, and enjoy dog fights, get it, it's worth the couple hours download time it requires. Easy to pick up, but also offers at least some motivation for skill (ace kills for example, you basically have to employ them or diving attacks to kill the bosses, called ace pilots) You also have limited time, so you can't just nickle and dime them.. Although all the missions are passable without using those, it sure as hell makes things a lot easier.

Heroes over the pacific isn't bad, except with some flight sticks, you have to put the throttle to neutral to use the rudder, gets pretty damned annoying and why I still haven't finished it.. But it's not a problem in Heroes over Europe.. Forewarning though, don't go pulling out your hair trying to assign the ailerons and rudder and such, they're set as default and can't be changed.. (can invert axis, just if you decided for whatever weird reason you wanted pitch to be yaw and yaw to be rudder, you'd be SOL).

CLOSING COMMENTS
The Witcher really is a good game and one that PC RPG fans will surely enjoy. It combines some entertaining and fast-paced combat with a well realized world and pretty decent story that branches and can end in three different fashions. With a load of choice in character creation on a point assignment and morality level, there’s plenty of reason to want to come back and play the 40-50 hour game again. The big problems mainly sit with the technical issues like crash bugs and long load times can be very frustrating. If it wasn't for those things The Witcher would have scored better here. If you can look past the technical side of things (which are still not as bad as some other RPGs released recently) The Witcher is definitely a game you’ll remember well over the years.

Sounds pretty good to me. Crashing doesn't bother me as much as it seems to bother other people. As long as it doesn't negatively affect stats or something like in multiplayer games, it's cool. Only takes a few seconds to restart anyway.

Depends on the game.. Right now I'm leaving Tron open for a day or more at a time, just because the start up is ridiculous..

GTA IV is the epitome of ridiculous load times.. Even on a computer that crushes the hell out of the recommended specifications, don't expect to be playing the game for a minute or two..
