Doing the quest Weapons not Worries and I was trying to get more than one Hardened bone at a time to save some walking back and forth. I went through about 3 stacks after finding one without getting another. It's not rare/ex but is it possible you can't mine up more than one? If anyone has gotten more than one at a time by mining let me know please, thanks!

Have a friend doing that quest that has gotten more than one at a time.

They are just uncommon. I had a lucky streak where I had ~5 of them with my first 2 stacks of pickaxes.
