Whats A Good Anime To Watch?

I'd say it is. Was very entertaining.

I just recently got into Full Metal Alchemist, it's great.

LOL Oh my ***, Golden Boy still makes me laugh.

Any Gundam, you cant go wrong. 8th MS Team and Gundam Wing are my favorites. Claymore is good, as are Outlaw Star, Cowboy bebop, and Hellsing :3

SD Gundam is an exception. /shudders.

Best anime ever : Cowboy Bebop (and by extenssion Samourai Champloo since its same guy)

Now if u look for somethin "cerebral" : Ergo Proxy (Sf/dark) or Denno Coil (internet/anticipation)

Mushishi is still good, but more like "romantic", you would like Renmei if u like mushi.

If u like dark stuff i'd say Casshern (Retro!) or Texhnolyse (second might be hard to find now)

New movies of (rebuilt) Evangelion are very good too.

One anime who is almost unknow but very good too : Bounen_no_Xamdou (fantasy/politic/war/romantic/self-growin...)

Well, even though the shows piss me off sometimes, mainly by not ending. I will have to reccomend bleach and naruto. these are both very good animes, prolly my fav, would be ALOT better if it werent for Filler episodes, i love the main storyline in both of these shows, but fillers piss me off so much, i would rather just wait for new episodes, i dont understand why they HAVE to come out with a new episode every week, you can watch both these shows on hulu, i also reccomend watching both these shows with japanese dub, with englsih subtitles, because the english voice acting in both these shows is horrible. I also have seen all episodes of both shows, so i know which 1s to skip >_< bleach is up to episode 294, and not finished, naruto is up even farther and still not finished....

Blood + is ok but i think girly, Death Note is cool, Trinity blood is on my to watch list. Nothing beats Hellsing though.... Excel Saga is amusing but funny, not violent. Chibi Vampire is girly again but vampire thing :x

Some of my favorites from that list would probably be:

-Byousoku 5 Centimeter (very short anime, but what i liked about this series was the artwork done in it. very amazing landscapes done take the time to watch if you can :] )

-Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (another short but solid anime)

-Higashi no Eden (REALLY well done anime, and theres even a movie out now. i highly recommend picking this up its short as well ~12? episodes.)

-Cowboy Bebop (favorite oldskool anime)

-Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 (best cliffhangers in any anime period.)

-Hagane no Renkinjutsushi (2009) (absolute must see! 100x better than original.

-Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (2009) MOVIE ( this made my brain implode)

Extensive database of anime, basically search for a show you like and you will normally find a handful of recomendations for other shows or you can simply go through other shows by the same group/category etc.

Besides those already mentioned (cannot believe it took to page 3 to see berserk -.-), Kara no Kyoukai 1~7 and by association Shingetsutan Tsukihime are both fantastic & currently sit at the top of my most recommended list to anyone who hasn't seen. The artwork and soundtrack are second to none & both have a relatively dark plot.

Can't really go wrong with Ghibli movies though I though Spirited Away was dull as sin.
The new Haruhi movie is fantastic, Watching the main series would cetrainly help but the film takes a more serious aproach to a complete seperate arc so kinda works standalone still (it is epicly long and goodluck finding anything but shoddy camrip atm).

I cannot honestly recomend any "long running" anime, no matter the show the plot becomes weak and spread out with "filler" episodes, flashbacks (5mins+ of every episode) and the generic "let's show every single person presents reaction face seperately". They grate on me too much. Same is not true of their manga counterparts.

To mention a few i dont believe have been said yet:

Gintama - samurai comedy
Angel beats - semi serious/semi comedy, romance action etc.
dogs: bullets and carnage - only 4 OVAs but read the manga.
Ouran highschool host club - brilliant comedy.
Darker than black (season one) - good action.
Ef: a tale of melodies (although watch 'a tale of memories' first)
Welcome the the NHK! - comedy romance and bizare.
07-ghost - action, small comedy. Only downside, slight hints of BL
Baccano! - please watch this, its a classic.
Durarara! - same people as baccano, again, great watch.
Sword of the stranger - its a movie but pretty good, action.
Clannad/second season - comedy romance drama, good watch.
Phantom: requiem for the phantom - pretty dark action, good watch tho.
GTO (great teacher onizuka) - again, classic comedy - watch it.
Kurogane no Linebarrels - ok action, ecchi etc, psychotic lead.
Kaicho wa maid sama - great comedy romance tho a few cliches.
Seitokai Yakuindomo - stupidly funny, altho little plot.
Densetsu yuusha no densetsu - good comedy action.
Toradora! - brilliant tsundere romance comedy.

Last Exile - finish it, its just amazing imo.
