Ridill WAR => RC WAR => Fell Cleave WAR ~= Ukko's WAR
Not seeing period of weakness here. Anything before then is likely to be based on player perception rather than a problem with the job (cue OMG SAM IS THE ONLY DD BECAUSE IT DOES TEH AWESOME WS nevermind the lack of dot inbetween).

He was pointing out the evolution of war weapons/ws.
Ridill was never good outside of meriting, and even then, polearm and RC would beat it. Wasn't there a series of parses of a top tier relic mnk vs a top tier ridill war? iirc the results were very close, anyways.

[44 days between previous and next post]Easily Warriors were nowhere near the top in damage in the first 3 years of FFXI. Unless you were extremely lucky or JP, it was unlikely to have a Ridill. Until the Ranged attack nerf, Rangers and Sam/rngs ruled over all for damage. Warriors did well in merit parties after ToAU, but for HNMs, you usually had Samurai's SA WS things not warriors.
However now.. they are disgusting, even more so with Ukko's.

He was saying Ridill was top for...probably everything not weak to blunt...pre-2hander buff. This game existed for a good while before silly pink birds. |
