so my blm puppet skill show as 311/311 but my skill up just put me @ 309. so is my skill really over 311 or ?

There is a glitch where if you merit your puppets skills, it automatically shows as capped when you look at your puppets equipment, but you still have to cap it normally.

Yes, you are @ 311 now. I got Fire IV and Blizzard IV w/o skilling up after i got the merits.

The skillup glitch will benefit you when the level cap is raised in the future as they will go towards the next two levels. I was able to get Stone V at 77 with capped skill without ever actually skilling up.

I haven't played much since the update, but as soon as I hit 76, I had Thunder IV with my fully merited blm puppet, no need to skill up at all.
